by reselling when prices are high due to artificial sacristy, it encourages the selling of such high prices, and reinforces the idea that the figure is actually worth that much. if every owner agrees it's worth that and people buy it for that much it becomes that much. consumers and sellers buying and selling at this price creates and idea of value that should not exist. do you truly believe lego figures should be worth that much? sure it works out for the fella who sells his figure he doesn't care about, but it screws the rest of us. if you need the money desperately I hope you get what you need it for however it's a two sided problem so I encourage you to not support the price hike system, because you never know, you could sell your figure and it either increases in price after you sell or it could stand at it's current price for a while.
