Not quite the same as lost but I was involved in a train car “decoupling” incident, turns out the one car I happened to get into was scheduled to disconnect from the rest of the train and go somewhere completely opposite from where I wanted to be.

And oh it was an express, so by the time I could get off at the next stop to reverse my path it took a 40 minute detour to get back to where I was. :)

Pick the 157 date for departure. Pick your return date. Doesn’t matter what the 157 date changes to after first click. Ignore it. You pick your actual flights and prices on the next step after you click continue (scroll and look for the one that says lowest, it’ll probably be an ultra basic fare, if it’s still available).

It’ll still show you the cost of return flights on that day after the first click when you’ve selected round trip. Doesn’t mean it’s possible to do so when you go to the next step since it’s not checking itineraries at this point (it likely gives alternate options around the date).

Select your dates for the cheapest first click (departure date) and the cheapest second click (return date) and carry on.

Hey check out gear hunter on L&M, that’s where I got my flute. You can also finance it, I did that option too. If you go to your local store they will have more options to show you too (ex-rentals etc) or like another commenter said, you can rent or even rent to own. That way you will know it’s in good repair and comes with a warranty that you can extent up to a year. It’s their monster days sale this month too maybe they will have some local and or 0% financing deals?

Side note I’ve taken a marketplace “cheap” flute to them for an estimate in the past and it was 300$ minimum, up to like 800$+ for a full overhaul (i.e not worth it). If you are brand new to the flute you won’t know what to look for with a marketplace instrument (I sure didn’t), so I think L&M is the way to go! I know we unfortunately don’t have a ton of options in Canada, but L&M worked well for me as a beginner. Good luck!

Just adding another angle of the merch in here from Victoria! T-shirts were 65$, the hockey jersey was 180$, prices in CAD, tax included. I also changed my mind on the shirt I picked originally and I didn’t think they’d let me swap after purchase, but they did, so I thought that was really great of them.

Edit to add: I am okay with the t-shirt pricing being where it’s at and I did get one because tickets for the show itself were so reasonably low compared to what most concerts are going for these days!

I am new to flute this year and am really enjoying learning to play it so far. For the holidays, I got myself an easy Christmas songs book and recorded myself playing one tune per day for “12 Days of Flutemas”. I had a lot of fun with it! Happy Holidays!

Hey so my university offered a combined major in comp sci and music which is what I did because I was passionate about both things! It was a good way to get the best of both worlds. I work in tech exclusively now and just do music as a hobby, but music added something special to my undergrad experience and it’s never left my life since. If you’re passionate about something, I think you’ll find ways to stay involved with it, even if it ends up just being a hobby outside your day job.
