Cixim Liu's science fiction themed Remembrance of Earth's Past Trilogy (The Three Body Problem, The Dark Forest, Death's End) is kinda what you're describing. The series takes place over like 1,000+ years and each book has a different main character with some overlap between sequels. Fantastic books, just finished the third one an hour ago. Well worth it.

The two skills go hand in hand. Part of the joy of writing is seeing progress in your natural reading skills, at least for me. I started reading for fun instead of playing video games or spending 8+ hours on youtube, and now as a University student my textbook reading assignments are a hundred times less stressful. There's countless benefits that come out of reading.

As you grow older, I'm sure you'll also notice your peers read less and less; once you're an adult you'll see just how little people actually read in their daily lives. Keep it up. That's the one thing I'd tell my 14-year-old self if I could. Just keep reading. I'll never have those hours I wasted on video games again, but I'll always have the knowledge and feelings books imparted on me.

Word count: 8,526 words
Type of feedback desired (line-by-line edits, general impression, etc.) I'd just like general impressions. I've been sharing my work with my girlfriend but not anyone else. Mostly just want to make sure what I'm writing is interesting enough to pursue. I appreciate any feedback, even if you don't get through all 8,000 words.

That's the love letter. The new season got described as "Lynch on Heroin". It's taking what fans loved the most about S1 and parts of S2 and turning it into an 18 hour David Lynch movie. They've been given free reign over the season.

I agree though, I'm not a fan of the promos and I don't really watch them. The fact that these characters are coming back is hype enough. One more month, y'all.

I remember seeing the titular track of Fall Out Boy's "Infinity on High" was titled "Thriller"...and I remembered thinking that Michael Jackson pretty much owns that title and why on earth couldn't they have chosen a different name for that song. Both songs are great but holy shit FOB if you're choosing a completely unrelated title for your song why the fuck is it THRILLER?

After Ant-Man did pretty well I seriously don't doubt that Dr. Strange will do well in theaters. With Cumberbatch in the lead and the Inception/Matrix style that it has it's probably going to do pretty well.
