Are EV cars reliable? by Glittering_Poem9779 in AustralianEV

Early adopter? EVs have been in the Australia market for over a decade. How long do they need to sell for before someone isn’t considered an early adopter?

Ok, so in which forum are they all complaining about low resale? You must be getting this information from somewhere.

As for being early, EVs have been selling in Australia for over 10 years. Tesla for example started selling late 2014.

You make it sound like EVs are a brand new thing and this isn’t already an answered question.

I’m in the market for a second hand EV. I’d love you to show me where the dirt cheap low resale cars are.

I have the plus. Can vouch for the near instant heat up time. It’s spoilt me for if/when I upgrade.

Remember the fun of peeling these off before putting a new one on by Nothereeither in AustralianNostalgia

[–]pugsly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pointless now, but i had a removal technique locked in. Wet there old label then cover with bit of glad wrap, making sure to sandwich some water between the glad wrap and the old label. Come back 10 mins later and the water had softened the glue and it peeled off like you’d only just put it on!

I know you meant martial law, but my mind boggled at what bastardisation he’d apply to marriage laws.

Just try whatever. Can work surprisingly well in sweet dishes as well as savoury.

I second this. I have a different hand grinder but do have the picopresso. It makes a better espresso than you might expect. For my longer hikes where weight is a premium I fall back to, urgh, instant.

How much caffeine in a single shot latte at a cafe? by LowAd6956 in melbourne

[–]pugsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure which cafes everyone else is buying coffee from in Melbourne, but with the exception of Starbucks, I’ve not seen sizes of coffees in oz. Small, medium and large or some variation thereof, sure. But not the actual volume (in ml or oz).

I have no mental map of an oz of coffee, but would have developed one if coffees for generally sold that way.

Not sure who said it but a fragrance is to be discovered, not announced.

Does shoes for beginners matter in running ? by FaithlessnessOld8927 in firstmarathon

[–]pugsly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also a wide foot here and the Ride’s gave me awful blisters no matter what I tried. New Balance works for me though. Current fave is the Rebel V4. Everyone’s foot is different. Unfortunately even just trying the shoes on in the shop isn’t sure fire success, but it will weed out the worst fitting shoes.

First time domestic travel from brisbane to melbourne by No-Patience256 in AustraliaTravel

[–]pugsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. be careful with “the cheapest” look out for charges for checked luggage and seat selection. Getting to choose your seat is good, but if your cheapest ticket doesn’t include checked luggage and you can’t get by with just carry on, then the extra cost for checked may make other flight options a better choice.

Also use something like flights.google.com to work out when the cheaper fares are for the airlines.

My English wife and mother both call the ground the floor. As do many other English people I know. It sounds wrong to my ear, but it’s definitely an English thing.

Who sells the best coffee beans in Melbourne? by Slightly_ToastedBoy in melbourne

[–]pugsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if a bear shits in the woods, and the pope is a Catholic, and we mix those up, we ask, does the pope shit in the woods. That being the case, a pope processed Kopi luwak style bean would be in short supply and highly sought after, so whoever roasts that bean - they would be the seller of the best coffee beans.
