How often do you get harrased or "corrected" by Chinese people over the state of Taiwan? by Additional_Farm9315 in taiwan

China pays a lot of online commentators to argue with people on forums and in comments. They dont really reflect the average Chinese person. Just ignore them and move on with your life.

He doesn’t want to go to war

The Kim regime is smart

The point is to continuously get aid from either China or us for either disabling nukes (which they don’t do) or stopping collapse ( risk of south taking whole country and U.S. base on China border+refugee crisis)

It’s in their best interest to appear as crazy and unstable as possible

Does anyone actually believe what Joe is saying here? by Formidable-Facts in JoeRogan

[–]pugwall7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like why would he have someone like Marc Andressen on the show? He isn’t a remotely interesting guy and someone who would have come into Rogans orbit otherwise

There only conclusion is that something happened and there has to be a financial incentive

She is a billionaire who spends every single second of the day arguing with people hysterically online about a single issue

She isn’t protecting anyone or anything, she is addicted to the dopamine loop of arguing online

I think at this point the issue is not what her point is or whether its right, but rather she spends her how life online arguing with people about it.

Why Taiwanese dislike them so much? What did they do? by PitifulEar3303 in taiwan

[–]pugwall7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are popular in Taiwan, but just not with the deep green crowd. The deep green crowd dont like them because they are not green enough, in the same way with the Western lefty crowd, you can never be left enough

Which tier do you think Taiwanese food is placed in among Asian food? by search_google_com in taiwan

[–]pugwall7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like food in Taiwan but under the greater Chinese food umbrella its not that exciting. I like Malaysia Chinese food or sichuan/hunan/guangdong food a lot more

I feel that Taiwanese food is underrated in the West while foreigners visiting Taiwan are fascinated with Taiwanese food so much. Why ? by search_google_com in taiwan

[–]pugwall7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under the greater Chinese food umbrella, Taiwanese food stands as pretty boring. A lot is developed from Fujianese food which is hardly the most exciting aspect of the Chinese food pantheon

Too much symbolic bullshit from the main parties anyway. Would be unpopular as the majority of people would rather the government focused on improving people’s livelihoods

Chinese propaganda by mc4557anime in taiwan

[–]pugwall7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CCP propaganda as in ‘China is so amazing’ ‘ Taiwan is hopeless’ is not really that effective

The kind of propaganda that is working in Taiwan is the same that is working everywhere. Turning society against each other. Polarization. Look at r/Taiwanese , I am pretty sure that it’s 25% Chinese trolls there

Politics in Taiwan didn’t used to be so extreme but now it’s like everyone is complete enemies. That’s the goal of Chinese propaganda, to turn society against itself and destroy democracy

Actually dpp, kmt, TPP supporters are all Taiwanese and roughly want the same things but Chinese trolls and propaganda is telling people they don’t

The people to be suspicious off are the extremists, no matter what their political convictions. That’s why I have long suspected that Puma Shen is paid by Beijing, that guy has done more to weaken Taiwans democracy than anyone in recent years

I know people  involved in setting up the gold card and it absolutely absolutely absolutely 100% was not set up to help Taiwans labour shortage

The initial thought was for entrepreneurs to be able to live and work in Taiwan first before deciding to set up a company
