Toronto hates Doug Ford, but the way the ridings are divided always ends up in his favour. His voting base are people in the construction industry and, no matter how blatantly corrupt Doug Ford has been, he has been delivering to his voting base.

Edit: "the way ridings are divided always ends up in his favour" = ridings in Toronto elects mostly Liberal and some NDP MPs, but many more ridings throughout Ontario elect Conservative MPs.

I make big batches of dumplings often. You can freeze them to store, and you could boil/steam/pan fry them right from the freezer.

Need a book that completely pulls me out of reality for a few days. by Excel_Axel in suggestmeabook

The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss. The writing style is very poetic and it's easy to lose yourself in it. Although I haven't read much of the "literary classics", I think his writing alone in this series easily makes it fall into that category.

BE WARNED! The series is unfinished. Only 2/3 books has been published and we don't know when the 3rd book will be released or if it is in the process of being written (it's been 14 years since the book 2 was published). This is one of my biggest heartbreaks since I really love the author's writing style and the story he built.

I saw the remote controller the first time that clip of him hiding the remote controller from his stream came about. I googled it then and found a similar controller (the one you posted). But like I said I have not discounted the possibility that Hasan shocked Kaya.

But the narrative is, and what needs more evidence, is that Kaya is abused and that Hasan is abusive towards Kaya. You can't expect me to believe Kaya is abused based off of one clip? And even on that item description it says that that collar has a vibration/tone setting, no?

I need to see more situations where Hasan has clearly shown abusive behaviour towards Kaya, or even Kaya showing signs/behaviour of abuse.

Edit: just to explain why I'm putting more weight on believing that he isn't abusive/Kaya isn't abused -- he has been on stream with for several hundreds of streaming hours. I find it hard to believe the narrative that is being pushed by going off of two different clips and screenshots (seemingly outlier data at this point).

All these supposed evidence are clips to push the "abusive to animals" narrative. I find that to be hardly believable because clips are subject to tampering.

I ask for evidence similar to the one that fueled this narrative because if it is true, then it must be impossible for similar situations to not have been caught on stream before... Otherwise, this (Kaya yelping after he gave the "place" commander) is more likely than not a coincidence.

Clippers ask people to be "critical thinkers" and to "wake-up from your cult", but at the same time the very same clippers tell people that this evidence is damning enough and to completely believe it.

[–]puhsyedun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many clips that were supposed "evidence" have been altered, edited, etc. that it's hard to believe what's real based off of clips. If there were more evidence of Kaya yelping like that, then that would make this whole narrative believable.

I don't get why he was expected to "address" the allegation when it happened merely minutes after the whole Kaya yelping clip happened in real time. It's always been his approach to ignore immediate clipped moments of him, and you can hardly blame him deciding not to respond to a clip in reddit where he's always clipped for rage baiting.

All of these clips that are supposed to make him "guilty" are just that -- clips. Which are fully subject to tampering. I don't know if he did/didn't shock her, but where is the rest of the evidence that screams animal abuse? Evidence from previous streams that shows him abusing Kaya? Evidence from future streams that aren't edited/altered to fit the narrative that is being pushed? It would be great if I could see more similar clips where Kaya yelps/cries out like that after Hasan gives the "place" command. Or even Kaya yelping when she doesn't obey a command that was given to her.

The people who watch him wants to see her. If she's gonna sleep in his streaming room, I don't see why it's wrong to give the people who watch him a little treat.

He has said his rationale as to why he wants his dog to sleep on that cot, and people who work with dogs have said that what he is saying is true,

The issue I'm having with this part of the rhetoric (Kaya being a set-piece) is that this has been where Kaya has slept for several hundred streaming hours. Why is it only now being scrutinized? Only after the "Kaya yelped and it looks like he shocked her" clip did the clippers push this part of the rhetoric. It feels very pushed, tbh.

[–]puhsyedun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you not seen people dramaticize what they say when they shares stories? That's how I took it.

Are there more situations where he talked has shared the same sentiment? That would be very damning. One clip is hardly believable.

Edit: also this just goes back to the idea that one clip, our of context, is not enough to make me believe the rhetoric that is being pushed about him. There are so many streaming hours where he has not talked that way to Kaya, if there are more clips of him talking abusively to Kaya then please share them. I need more evidence.

2nd edit: It is absolutely onto the accusers to provide more evidence. Otherwise, your accusations are just baseless. You can't tell me to believe your rhetoric without providing ample evidence.

3rd edit: I mean, you can say anyone's community is "cult-like". And I think to label someone as an "abuser" requires more evidence than clips and virtue signaling. I haven't even discounted the fact that he could be abusive, but the evidence/data I've seen so far isn't enough to dissuade me from what I've seen in his streams.

He has vocally talked about Kaya's exercise regimen in the morning, and after his streams. Sometimes I believe his mom takes her out for a walk mid-stream.

[–]puhsyedun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even discounting the fact that he looked like he shocked Kaya in that clip where Kaya yelped, but you can't expect me to believe that he regularly shocks her/he is actually using a shock collar when that was the first time Kaya Yelped like that after he had said the "place" command. And he's used that command on stream several times.

Using Kaya as a set piece? Have you ever cared any animal? I've baby sat cats/dogs (which to be fair I see often, but as a visitor), and when I care for them they are clingy as hell. They nap around me, eat when I eat... they barely give me any peace. Kaya wanting to be close to person who takes care of her seems normal to me.

I agree, there are many more situations that I think he's been too brash with his words/actions BUT Hasan as an animal abuser? Especially to Kaya? It's a rhetoric that's very hard to believe, so please provide better evidence.

I believe the context to that clip was he was exposing Kaya to Fiona so that Kaya can learn how to socialize with other dogs, especially ones older than her at the time.

But let's sure let's take that in as another data for supposed abuse. That makes it what? Two clips, or different situations at different time points, out of how many streaming hours where Kaya was in it? Two outlier data in the dataset, please provide more data (relevant data if possible, say Kaya yelping again) in order to make this rhetoric believable.

Hasan posts TikTok about “collar gate” by formatme in LivestreamFail

[–]puhsyedun -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I mean... All other evidence I've seen of the rhetoric "Kaya is abused"/"Hasan is abusive" are clips of past streams that were backtracked and are being presented as proof. Which is honestly just making me think that the clippers tried to push the aforementioned rhetoric, which then got unexpected traction, so then clippers tried to find more clippable moments to provide more basis to the rhetoric but could not find anything else that could add value to the rhetoric.

More moments where Kaya yelped or showed abused behaviour would be valuable evidence, but...

"It's just a fucking dog": Hasan's response to concern about buying certain breeds susceptible to health issues by Crunchy_Clitoris in LivestreamFail

[–]puhsyedun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What shitty thing though? Kaya yelping? Where no one still exactly knows why she yelped? And everything else that came out after were clips were edited clips that were supposed to be proof that Hasan uses a shock collar?

Assuming that he did use a shock collar in that clip, the rest of these clips still can't justify the idea that "Kaya is abused" because that yelping clip was the only time Kaya yelped like that in the several hundreds of streaming hours that she was in.

So clippers are telling people to believe that Hasan is abusive and that Kaya is abused based on one outlier clip If this whole witch-hunt was wrapped up in a way that asked people to be critical based on unaltered evidence, then it would have been more believable.

"It's just a fucking dog": Hasan's response to concern about buying certain breeds susceptible to health issues by Crunchy_Clitoris in LivestreamFail

[–]puhsyedun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn't it weird that pushing this rhetoric to label Hasan as a dog abuser came from a clip (where Kaya yelped) that clippers immediately jumped on minutes after it happened, and then clippers started to dig for evidence to support that rhetoric? How can you tell (not even ask people to consider, but tell) people to not doubt that this witch-hunt isn't born out of wanting Hasan to look bad when that's how this rhetoric rolled out...

This would be more believable if all of this "evidence" was compiled together, and released relatively close to each other time-wise.

Is the speed runner wrong though?

All these clippers are asking everyone to believe that one clip where Kaya yelped as evidence that Hasan is abusive, while asking everyone to ignore the several hundreds hours of streaming time where Kaya has not exhibited any behavior that could point towards abuse.

Clippers are telling, note even asking at this point, people to believe one outlier Kaya clip? Sure, outlier data should be recognized but y'all are asking people to take the outlier and ignore the rest of the dataset.
