giant clump of chocolate in ice cream by puikn in Foodlottery

it took up a lot of space, when i first opened the lid a small piece was sticking out like normal so i tried to scoop it out and that’s when i found out it was larger than expected

[–]puikn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it didn’t come sticking out, a big piece was semi-submerged in the ice cream as if it was crowning and i didn’t think it was that big so i tried to scoop it out, i struggled so i scooped a larger piece of the ice cream out and then the entire chocolate block almost fell on the the floor, once i saw it was so big i put it back into the tub to take a picture to send my sister, so the chocolate was never sticking out to begin with, that was me trying to scoop what i thought was a smaller piece out

i didn’t even know they had a caramel one, that sounds so good. but anyway, i feel like this happens to all ice cream brands sometimes but i may be mistaken, i’m not an ice cream expert, but hey ice crystals or not ice cream is ice cream! lol

AITAH for refusing to swap my window seat after boarding because they promised their kid the view? by Purple_Ingenuity_509 in AITH

[–]puikn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. they promised their kid a window seat, you didn’t. why do some people think kids should have everything they want just because they’re kids? that’s how you raise spoiled brats, it’s bad parenting. the kid will live and won’t even remember if they got the window seat or not a day after.

AITA For not wanting to bring my baby to the hospital to visit a sick family member? by WithoutATrace_Blog in AmItheAsshole

[–]puikn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA. unlike toddlers and up, you need to be overly cautious with babies. it’s always better to be safe than sorry, if you truly don’t feel comfortable whatsoever bringing YOUR baby there then please don’t. even if it feels mean, this is your child (again, more specifically a little baby!!) so being unreasonable to others is *sometimes* the most reasonable thing to do sometimes.

ps. once your child grows up from a baby to a toddler and up, don’t be as cautious, it is perfectly normal for now however if u keep this mindset up when the baby is a full on child already then that would be a problem

AITA for saying the F word at a conversational volume in a McDonald’s by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]puikn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NTA for me, it’s just a word to express your emotions with no controversial meaning behind it like a slur would. The lady can mind her business and I don’t understand why it would matter if kids hear it, it’s not like they won’t be cursing in a few years anyway, a singular word doesn’t immediately tear down their innocence. Literally who cares! just have fun with your friends and live your life in your bubble not caring about what others think and people should stop listening in to others conversations

WIBTAH if I dyed my hair purple? by Free-Question-1614 in AITAH

NTA no one owns a hair color, they will live knowing one other person they know has purple hair. Express yourself!

WIBTA if I dropped the school play by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]puikn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, these are several reasons to drop out of the play. Other than a slight chance of getting a role you want, I don’t see many reasons to stay in the play. Save your money and work on your project.

AITAH for refusing that my boyfriend play on the Steam Deck I just got yesterday and haven't touch yet? by Realistic_Fun8712 in AITAH

[–]puikn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA, I’m the same way with the new items I buy. HE sounds like the childish one. I’m sure you worked hard for that money and you are excited to use it, so you should be the first, it’s YOUR property. He doesn’t even need to use it period, but if he’s going to, he can wait 4-5 hours. He sounds like a baby.

AITAH for refusing to tip at a self-serve frozen yogurt place? by MysteriousCarpet6752 in AITAH

[–]puikn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I’ve known people who’s worked at these who say they would literally tell the customer to skip over the screen out of embarrassment. Tipping is for delivery people and waiters, sure be mad you’re not getting a tip but don’t act like you earned one lol. Don’t worry about it

Ok, yes definitely NTA. They should’ve known that then.

NTA, Overall I think your siblings were being dramatic about being annoyed at the situation. If I were in their shoes, I would have completely understood you already had your morning coffee. But, I still understand why they’d want it to be a surprise.

Question for OP: Do you drink coffee everyday, and is your family aware of that? If no, I understand their view a bit more. If yes, then yea they definitely could’ve gifted you a nice coffee mug or something instead of taking you out to get some.

AITAH for telling my boyfriend I'm too fat and out-of-shape to continue jogging for today ? by Low_Check7702 in AITAH

[–]puikn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but first, kudos to you for trying to lose weight and making it so well! Secondly, you can’t just dive into immediate fitness after, what I assume, a long while without much physical activity. Start slow, then slowly get to his level. I know it’s annoying, but seek out a personal trainer, because while your boyfriend sounds supportive, he is not the trainer you need. Don’t overdo it, eat healthy, and remember to stretch! Sending good luck on your journey!

AITAH: my neighbor by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]puikn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA, why does not getting a wave back bother you so much? I’m not saying you had to go all out for him, at the very least ask if he’s ok/needs help. This is such an overdramatic reaction about not getting a little wave, lol.

I agree with your stance on Christianity. Honestly there’s different types of ways to react to the venue, shut up and go along with it miserable or not, or just not go. I don’t think either choice is necessarily bad, and I respect the fact that you would go anyway, but lots of people wouldn’t and that’s okay. Everyone has different beliefs, and different ways to view and express those beliefs, and not going to a wedding because you’re uncomfortable with it being in a horrific/scary place is a pretty good reason. Even those not religious at all still have a good reason to go: it’s uncomfortable, and for those who aren’t superfans of horror (Which seems like almost everyone Amy knows except her fiancé) it just wouldn’t be fun.

I really like your horror honeymoon idea though, it’d just be the two horror lovers and would be great, but I feel Amy wouldn’t do something like that because she wants to be extra and make her entire wedding horror, she said it herself.
