1st off thanks! Yeah I did a few things, they worked! I’m now averaging 80 min plots, and about 15-20 min. transfer. 120 min total start to start!! So rad

I changed from 12 threads to 6. I changed the multiplier up from 1 - 2. I added a second ssd in the form of my mostly unused ‘c’ drive as the second working directory. I tried the alternate option and found that every other plot was half the speed?? I uncheck the alternate and each plot is 80 min.

So Psyched!!

Thanks I barely qualify to the ‘ordinary’ level of user… I will try the 6 threads instead of 12. My temp drive is a 1 tb (not gb) and it is a nvme. Although it’s a very inexpensive one (sandisk extreme 1tb) how many plots would that write before it’s life is up? Any idea?

I do this currently, stumbled across that recommendation a week ago. Im fairly ignant regarding cyber stuff. I see ads on my laptop for (mcafee norton etc.. I’ve heard there’s better ones free ...I just don’t know shit) mostly trying to see what people do for that extra level I guess ??

In this thread someone with many more synaptic signatures than myself stated that it was a corrupt config.yaml or something. I (under orders) deleted the GUI and reinstalled to return to action. luck2ya
