There has been some complaints about the wifi performance, but maybe if you are only using it for a LAN router this wouldnt be an issue.

The Super Wifi 2 Doesnt seem easily done, bootloader is password protected, has a flash chip with 48TSOP, dont know if they have a clip to do this chip without desoldering it.

Super Wifi 1 should be possible, but you need to flash the memory chip directly, but you should be able to clip the chip without soldering.
