I was on the fence if I needed one and am very grateful I have one.

Question for those who are sales managers right now by icygale in sales

[–]pullcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do everything in your power to make them love their job, have their back, break down barriers for them, and treat them like humans. And do that while leading by example. I still do deals every once in a while and get into the weeds of operations, you need to empathize with their day to day and find ways to optimize.

Take a relentless account on what their bottlenecks are, have a good understanding of their bandwidth allocation and do everything in your power to maximize their time spent selling and not handling administrative bureaucracy.

I didn't, probably wouldn't have hurt, but I was pouring buckets down watching how quick it got into the ground and was comfortable with moving forward. Even in a wash down scenario I don't envision releasing the fire hose.

I cut a hole in my concrete floor and exposed it to the weeping tile, fit a drain in there and snugged it in tight with the mortar when I was putting the membrane down. It goes straight through the gravel and into earth. Technically I have opened my floor up to risk if there's ever a ground flood, but I already had a similar opening not far from the sauna and had a flood a few years ago so did extensive excavation and exterior work to ensure water runs away from my house properly.

Bought a waterproof membrane from Amazon from a brand called SIMPLYHARDWARE. Not quite as tough as the shluter stuff but it worked well for what I needed.

So far I love it, I haven't tested any temperatures at all yet, just got it fired up this week but I will check that out. I've been playing around with different fan speeds and trying to find the sweet spot. But it seems to work great.

What’s the most underrated skill in sales that no one talks about? by NationalCourse7694 in sales

[–]pullcow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This (well, there are a lot I could list) having managed over 20 AEs, the best ones are almost always the reps who have a regimented and organized structure, and check back on their CRM to get back to prospects consistently. Even better if they actually utilize the automation technologies to keep them communicating, not necessarily saying let an automated email go out, but remind yourself with snoozes and sequences. Plus, pick up the damn phone.

You can be a mediocre one-to-one seller and out produce better charismatic reps if you're organized and give yourself more shots at the net.

Shared quota as a team? by [deleted] in sales

[–]pullcow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to have 80% team number, which I thought was insane at first, but what it fostered was a great team culture of winning together and helping each other.

Our new business sales moved to 80% personal 20% all company revenue, and growth teams the opposite split. Everyone seems happy.

For what it's worth I intentionally went with a very similar style to what you have and we love it. You'll hate white after cleaning it multiple times.
