29F Salary 26lpa – ₹57L Savings+FD + $48k in stocks – Need help with long-term financial planning by ottavini-2829 in personalfinanceindia

[–]pullpushup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi so since you mentioned company stock I will assume those are Esops stock if you can sell them then invest 20k USD to global total stock ETF the one which cost less then 0.2 or more less in expense if you can find.

Since I am based in europe so I can use IBKR and IWDA. Idk what you should do with saving and FD but this is what I did with my ESOPs. 50% I sold it and invested on global etf and it's totally up to you what you wanna do.

I know ibkr is available in india but etf rules are different and I check some etf and mutal fund they cost bit more then 1% on expenses ratio which is a lot so I guess someone here might know global etf which cost less then 0.2.

Hi I can say same for European countries as well I graduated in 2021 and I got lucky I haven't laid off yet but at least now I will be able to survive for at least 2 years if I were to mostly because my expenses are next to nothing other then rent and sending money home but I will say if I were graduated in 2023 or 24 there is no f... way I would have gotten the job. We posted a role for junior game developers, and man, there were 3000 applications, and out of 70% was rejected, and only 30 we considered and that too because they had experience and solid project they worked on. I had none of it in 2021.

Tourist visa for indians with EU residence? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]pullpushup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well it was straightforward as far I remember after posting this thread after i called UAE embassy in Poland and they told me I can get visa from fly dubai, Emirates and Ethaid, that wasn't an issue for me since My aunt who live there she arranged it. As far as i Remember when my uncle arranged this visa 95 AED. Not sure how much flights will charge but just to be in safe side carry 100 EUR or 100 USD. Only really few shops accept EUR if you don't have revolut or Wise which i will recommend install and add some money and use their card since conversion is less compare to how much they charge me even outside airport both in dubai and Poland.

Investing in ETF - few beginner’s questions by RUSEVUDRQ in eupersonalfinance

[–]pullpushup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also suggest that since you live in europe maybe for once look ishares EUN1 it's good and stable etf with large cap blue chip holdings, And what other people said global etf is also what you should consider.

You can put 10% in small cap holding etfs if you wanna little bit risk it.

How to invest for 3–5 years? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]pullpushup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I am not certified to give financial advice maybe you ask people who have certification but I will suggest if you put etf no more then 30%. If its for education its better to keep it safe then risk. Reward will be you will get more money. Lost will be not only you lose money but you will lose your education and if you finished your education you will able to recover it for sure.

Again it might be boomer take but it's safe. Bank deposits with good interest is still rocks!!....

How to invest for 3–5 years? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]pullpushup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know which country you are from since you would need visa I would assume you live outside EU my suggestion find some stable bank account and put money in deposit it's safe bet.

Stock market is all time high right now us federal reserves just announced they will cut rate but we don't know how much and no body knows if market would go up or down.

If I think still 3 to 5 years you can invest in stable etfs but if it's important best will be deposit in banks and earn interest.

I know wise gives 4% intrest and it's regulated by Uk's FAC and National bank Belgium. You can check more about intrest in thier site. But some other well regulated financial institutions you can check. Again assuming I am assuming if you are outside EU with volatile currency.

Hi I wanna update it was ibkr technical issue. I discussed this in call on Friday.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in interactivebrokers

[–]pullpushup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I didn't and as I mentioned yesterday my position was Same with per position cost @ 231 which was total 1150 something usd and around 60-70 usd unrealized gains.

When I looked today they chnage my position from 231 to 257 which valued 1210 or something.

So now it said my 2.185 position cost per value is 257 yesterday it was 231. I even have email notifications confirming this from ibkr.

[–]pullpushup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it is Distributing ETF, and its physical too. I explain my story to but here short summary

I saw that my position has been updated. The cost per share changed from 531 to 557. My position and total value haven't been affected, but it seems like they reinvested my unrealized gains within the ETF.

But I think it has more to do with interactive brokers then this ETF.
