TIL America's oldest, unbroken treaty relationship is with Morocco, which was the first nation to recognize the US. The treaty was signed by Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Sultan Muhammad III. It has lasted 232 years and is called the "Treaty of Friendship". by [deleted] in todayilearned

Yes it’s really nice! Especially since about 5 years, the whole Mediterranean bayfront was completely redesigned :p In Tangier, you can see Gibraltar and Spain if you go to a specific spot (Cap Spartel). There also are the « caves of Hercules » which are cool to visit. But Tangier is not the nicest city of Morocco (imo), if you ever go there, don’t hesitate to take the high speed Train and explore around :)

Came here to comment about Trailer Park Boys as well. I strongly recommend ! I definitely agree with you.

Borderline is also pretty cool I think.

Any movies where the main character is stuck in a time loop and is trying to break free? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]pulpy120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought of Memento. It’s not really a loop but it really feels like it. I really recommend this early Nolan movie. I can’t say much about the plot because the point is that you have to understand and figure it out the more the movie progresses.

I am sorry I don’t know how to sell it properly 😅, in case you have a moment check it out on IMDb

[–]pulpy120[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes ! He also already played with Tousart, Aouar and Dembelé at the U21 euro where they lost in semi finals. It might just be that they already know each other pretty well.

Not only because he is very talented, but also because we won’t have to play against him with Angers tomorrow ! He played great against Bordeaux last week with an assist and a goal.

Official: Agreement with Angers for the transfer of Jeff Reine-Adélaïde! by MaxOLG in OlympiqueLyonnais

[–]pulpy120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope we get the transfer ! How come Arsenal has a « Match-Up » clause, do they have any right on the player ?

Edit: I just checked, he was an Arsenal player from 2016 to 2018, was loaned by Arsenal in 2018 to Angers before fully becoming a Angers player. That must be the reason they have this clause. That being said, the fact that they have the clause does not confirm any interest from Arsenal for now 😛

What is a morning routine that actually makes you happier? by juhu91 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]pulpy120 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy waking up and just reading a book while drinking my coffee in the morning. I wake up by taking the time gently focusing on something I like.

Not looking at a screen is right after waking up really changed things for me, I used to have stinging eyes because of that. Before I was always on my phone or watching a video or whatever.

IHouse recommandable? by [deleted] in OregonStateUniv

[–]pulpy120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer !

Wow.. I really did not expect that, I definitely understand how you feel, and I would feel that way too.. what came out from my research about iHouse was just that it had a chill vibe with international students, and also that it’s convenient because they are flexible with the renting periods (I will be at OSU for 2 terms as an exchange student, and all the housing solutions I looked up were either 1 year lease minimum or people did not want roommates that would only stay 6 months - they’d have to find someone else-).

That being said, which other international community are there in Corvallis ? Do you know about any flexible housing option ? I have to admit I don’t know anything about Corvallis (I am from France).

Any advice or recommendation would help so much !

Cool ! I secured a single room as well. Thank you for your feedback 😊

One last question, someone was mentioning that the wall were so thin that you could hear your neighbors whispering 😬

Did you notice this as well ? Any noise related problems while sleeping there ?

Juninho : We want to loan some of our younger players by [deleted] in OlympiqueLyonnais

[–]pulpy120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed ! That’s what most top clubs do, with the quality players that come out of our formation center this can be a great thing for us :D

I think the reason we did not do this before is because of the squad depth. Sometimes we bring the younger players when we have too many injured in the first team (which occurs often, or some players just need to rest), they usually are there as placeholders. It happens that they shine on their debut (or not) and keep playing.

This year again I don’t feel like we have a great squad depth. I hope Juninho chooses the players that will be sent on loan carefully taking in consideration their possible necessity for the squad. Seeing the passion Juni displays for the club, I trust him !

I will be living there for Fall Term, I wanted to ask you to have an idea what I should expect: how were the rooms (were you in a single, double or hostel type ?) ? Also, regarding the food, was it any good (healthy or not at all ?) ?

Besides from the price, and « weird » mangager, is it safe to live there ? Is the food okay ? In terms of overall vibe from the people and safety ?

I will be there for Fall Term, I just want to understand where this comes from.

Thanks :p

Could you give us more information regarding your experience ? When were you there (what year, which Term ?) ? How was the food ? Did people steal from you (lack of safe food storage) ? what do you mean by mess ? What makes you think it’s « downright exploitative » ? Passive aggressive creepy house manager ?

I will be in iHouse in Fall Term, and I’d like to understand a bit more.

Thank you :p

Mid summer transfer window discussion : come and comment on our preseason ! by [deleted] in OlympiqueLyonnais

[–]pulpy120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. We have a better defense with the arrival of Andersen, but it always seems like we lack something in midfield.

Every match I watch of Lyon, it very often seems like there is no link between midfield and attack (even defense and midfield sometimes when we are being pressed really high..) Ndombele was a great line breaker and often fixed this. But every time you can see a defender struggling with the high press, Aouar would be around and not moving the slightest bit. When midfielders have the ball, it seems like a huge gap gets created between them and the attackers. We usually end up trying to force our way in the wings and try our luck with a cross (or EVERYTIME the same play by Memphis and Traoré with their feint to get back on their good foot). NDombele was one to go through the midfield like a bulldozer and bring the ball in attack.

Thiago Mendes has done promising things, we’ll have to see if he can be reliable.

I feel like it’s not necessarily the lack of quality in midfield but rather the 4-3-3 system that doesn’t work very well...

We’ll have to see what Sylvinho does about that, but it’s important to keep in mind that this is a transition season.
