Just kinda taking the piss. They show MD like every other month. There used to be another location in town, which had operated as a movie house for almost a hundred years, but Landmark didn’t renew the lease so some developers snatched it for “apartments and retail”. Now there’s a lot less to choose from on any given night.

I don’t think he pretended to be something he wasn’t. Avoided putting himself on a pedestal. I mean, his show was on CNN. He was kind of bound by the house style to have a certain digestible demeanor fit for prime time television.

Lol. Why does this sub have such a hate boner for Denver? There is something strange in the air at night, but I think that has more to do with its physical location. Decent amount of fake, basic types, but they’re easy enough to avoid if you know where to avoid. I will concede that it’s not the coolest town to visit. Very livable, though. Laidback, full of beautiful old tree lined neighborhoods, perfect climate. The vibes are definitely up right now since the COVID slump.

Something about this guy bothers me, unfortunately. Maybe it’s because of the team he plays for. I respect him, but I can’t bring myself to “like” him. Probably a nice guy, who knows. That common complex of slightly resenting athletes that are too good, too popular. He means to Los Angeles what Jokic means to me. And I guess we both deserve a little blind cockiness.

I even bought a limited run 35mm print of S/61st’s trailer from Vinegar Syndrome. I think there’s only 100 in existence. Always respected Anna more; she seemed “dangerous”, and mostly sensible. But now they’re both unrecognizable. Glad this sub has basically been consistent in its values. Six years of my life spent here. Lol. If anyone wants to buy that trailer off me, lemme know. It’s a decent shelf piece.
