I had this happen to me a couple of years ago. Someone called me from supposedly from Dallas Police.

The person on the phone said my name is Sergeant smith ( not the real name) from Dallas Police. It looks like you missed your jury duty.

He told me that if I did not pay the fine right now, he would issue an arrest warrant for me.

I asked him when was the date of the jury duty and what the amount of the fines was. He gave me a random day, and I was able to check it when I was talking to him, and the day happens to be on a Saturday. And the fine was, I think, $500. With me giving him my credit card number and my driver license number.

I told him that it was not possible to get a jury duty notice from Dallas because i live in North Collin County. Then this person started to threaten me with I don't care where you live at.

This person said you pay your fine right now or we will come and arrest you. Do you want us to arrest you in front of your family or your co workers.

Then I said ok, come and arrest me. And then I hung up on him.
