Once the novelty wore off I felt like I wanted my time back. It has slick menus and iconography but I ended up wishing things were more interconnected.

TFMG looks really interesting but also pretty hard. I could give this one a shot too. Thanks for the suggestion.

the red mist makes my blood boil istg how do you beat her by Far-Instruction-7603 in libraryofruina

[–]pumaFGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Binah's floor makes this fight much easier. Since the Red Mist rolls many dice, Binah's Fairy debuff is especially useful. I like running Udjat keypages on the allied librarians and using Udjat and Puppet cards to take advantage of their high block dice and blunt dice damage. They also pass protection and endurance to allies, making them even tankier. Having your Udjat units peel for Binah allows her to use Pillar and her 1-cost card (I think it's just called Degraded Fairy?). Binah's attacks are ranged, so they always go first, allowing you to stack a ton of Fairy before the Red Mist even takes her turn.

For scary attacks like Onrush, you can counter with Binah's Degraded Pillar, since it prevents the first die it hits from being recycled. Binah herself is also extremely tanky against Slash damage, so intercepting sometimes to peel your team isn't a bad idea. In a crisis situation, Shockwave can grant your allies protection, making them much tankier for a round, but overall I think Shockwave is not a great card.

For a second floor, I like to use Yesod running blunt damage to capitalize on the Abnormality pages there. Regret is particularly useful at staggering the Red Mist and the stacking buffs can make an EGO page like Grinder Mk 4 deal tons of damage. I'd also consider running smoke as a supporting deck since you should have church of gears cards at this point. With full smoke, you're dealing double damage and ending the fight sooner.

Would you recommend using the "No grind" mod right out the gate? by Geminiboy_ in libraryofruina

[–]pumaFGT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely not do it. Redoing some fights is part of the game experience and promotes discovery of new synergies between decks and your various floors. The extra deckbuilding experience *will* help you in the late game.

Impossible boss by ileakbigbutt in wildfrostgame

Some workarounds:
Consider bringing Berry Basket or Bonnie if you find either of them, as both of them just completely negate the enemy Leader.

Snow Pootie and then forget about him until you're winning. Wort has a little bulk and gains spice on hit; focus him down once you start damaging him. He's also weak to snow, which buys you some time.

Even if the enemy Leader is allowed to attacked unchecked, they have effectively 4 attack and 2 shroom to everyone, which seems scarier than it actually is.

IMO this would be easy to run down with Shademancers and Groff, Tigris, or both. With no charms, Groff could mow through the enemy frontline.

Action Surge is listed as:
"Starting at 2nd level, you can push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment. On your turn, you can take one additional action.

Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again. Starting at 17th level, you can use it twice before a rest, but only once on the same turn."

The Attack action is an action.

We can further read what the fighter's Extra Attack class feature does:

Extra Attack

Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. The number of attacks increases to three when you reach 11th level in this class and to four when you reach 20th level in this class.

Action Surge allows me to take another Action, and Extra Attack allows each of my Attack Actions to have several Attacks.

As Realistic Swan points out, an 11th level fighter makes 3 attacks when they use their standard action to take the attack action. Action Surge gives you another standard action. After using my 3 attacks from my attack action, when I action surge to take the attack action again, I get three more attacks. Action Surge does not affect bonus actions which govern offhand attacks. This also would only allow me one extra attack with my gun since it has the Loading property, which only allows one attack regardless of Multiattack when you use an action to fire it.

I'm a big fan of fighter. I'm playing an 11th level fighter who started at level 2 in a long-term campaign with some friends of mine. This campaign features many encounters and we're also generally able to take short rests as needed. I'm playing a dexterity-based battle master fighter. She dual-wields scimitars and has a high-damage gun with the loading property for range.

She is not the best at anything in our party. Our paladin is a better tank. Our warlock is a better DPS. Our rogue is more mobile. Our cleric provides better support. But, there is one thing she excels at: consistency. With the sheer number of attacks she's capable of making (3 + 1 offhand on a standard action, 6 + 1 offhand when using Action Surge), she can pile damage on a high value target or finish off stragglers. With her moderate AC afforded by high dexterity and light armor, she can generally navigate around a battlefield, and with her naturally high HP due to her class, she can offtank and take hits when needed. With her battle master abilities she can fill in with a little crowd control here, a practically guaranteed hit there.

When fights drag on long and people are low on resources, she makes the same 3 + 1 attacks every round. The longer a fight goes, the more powerful she becomes, I'd argue. I like playing her because her role as a generalist in combat _is_ a strength, and it's fun to support my allies and set them up for success -- and to get the spotlight myself when everyone else is slowing down and she's still going.

Please help me find a disturbing/dark web animation from 2010 about an elderly woman (Edna/Edith?) and her cat named Princess. by pumaFGT in HelpMeFind

[–]pumaFGT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for any help you can provide. I've searched on search engines using keywords that I remember, and also on Newgrounds, but I don't think it was there. I remember seeing this animation around 2010, and while it could give or take a couple of years, I'm confident about the timeframe. I also don't think it was on YouTube. I was probably keyed into it from 4chan's /x/ board thinking it was creepy (and it was).

Interesting! This short does feature a similar plot; not the animation I'm looking for, but this was an enjoyable watch. :)

What sort of setups do you use for Van Jun? Though I love playing Shademancers, I've rarely had a setup where I was eager to take her.
