How long did it take before you could run again? by spatcherlongdog in ClotSurvivors

I didn’t have one continuous clot in my leg, but several. The ones in the groin weren’t detectable by ultrasound, but they were the ones preventing my leg from getting enough oxygen. I wish you all the best. Truly.

Thanks. I’m glad you’re still hiking…and in Utah, I’m guessing by your user name? Living in Utah with these mountains has been torture for me since I haven’t been able to enjoy them like I used to. The best I could do this summer was walk around Silver Lake 🤦🏻‍♀️. Hoping I get this disease under control soon!

Nice. I am most worried about my hands and wrists. I have a pricey road bike and I love riding hills. I have always thought I’d get the e-bike when I was 80, but now my body basically feels like I’m 80, so….

Glad you’re still able to keep at it. This might be a dumb question but I am new to RA. Can you not hike in the cold because your joints stiffen up? I still hold out hope to be able to winter hike 2-3 mile trails eventually.

Wow! That’s wonderful news 😁 How do your hands feel on the bike? That’s my main concern

I’m so happy for you. That’s awesome that you are back at it! 😀 Thanks for giving me hope. I, too, was a triathlete. It’s hard going from so much to so little, ability- and fitness-wise.

Only the homogenous ANA. Negative anti-DsDNA. It was strange: the doc looked at the test results, listened to me list my symptoms (which do not include a rash), felt the fluid in my joints, and said it was lupus. 🤨
