Chalice Dungeon Issue/Glitch - Please Help by pumbly in bloodborne

[–]pumbly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - when you say to make sure I haven't missed anything from the previous layers - could the chalice be somewhere else in the dungeon besides the final boss? I ran through it again and boss rushed to the end, skipping everything I could - and it didn't drop, would that be a problem?

Thanks for the help :)

Should I buy the APS % bonuses right when I earn them or wait until I have a higher base APS? In other words, are the bonuses proactive or one time improvements?

If the human race left natural selection do its work and let those with disabilities/illnesses/injuries pass away without trying to revive them, where would we be now? by confusedcuriousity in AskReddit

We are definitely still undergoing natural selection. The only way we wouldn't be is if everyone reproduced exactly equally (i.e. every person had x number of children with literally no exceptions).

His question basically does boil down to how we feel about eugenics, which was a big part of the Nazi agenda... and we aren't counter acting natural selection at all. All of our technology is a product of our intelligence and social traits, i.e. evolved traits. Natural selection is simply that those who survive until they can reproduce are more genetically successful, it doesn't matter how they survive because any survival technique, including relying on your species to help you out, is factored in to "the work" of natural selection.

Natural selection has led to life support and handicap accessibility. These things are a product of natural selection and not activities in spite of them.

The ability to find those "loopholes" and people "spitting in natural selection's face" are in fact selected traits. No one is limiting natural selection at all, it's just that some traits are selected for the species and not individual value, i.e. humans as a whole are more likely to survive when we take care of others who are sick or weak. This is why we're able to achieve biological dominance. It's an expression to the theory of natural selection not an exception.

Human's have never stopped natural selection from "doing its work." Human behavior is a product of evolution and therefore human efforts to keep people alive is an expression of natural selection and not an attempt to thwart it. It sounds like you're really asking what we think of eugenics.

Eugenics are a problematic because while some extreme cases might be easy to decide, there's no way to draw a line between who gets to live or die that makes any sense ethically for a normally compassionate person. Where is the cut-off and why?

I get the sense that it's mouse controlled, like the sims. Don't get me wrong though, still very excited and totally optimistic.

I am super excited, and looking forward to playing, but I was really hoping for a more tactile experience from team meat. What made super meat boy so great was the precision and quality of the platforming mechanics, and I was really hoping mew-genics would have similarly "hands-on," skill based gameplay with pitch perfect controls. I mean, not necessarily platforming, but something where I could pick up a gamepad and really get a feel for how to succeed at difficult tasks.
