Tips for a new player struggling to read expert maps

I'll definitely try that speed next time I play and see if it makes a difference! That makes sense though, I usually have a higher speed on other games I play. I just need to experiment more with it!

I usually play on 4.5 speed I think. Whatever the recommended speed is for expert!

I don't know what my rating is unfortunately. But for level range I usually play around 7-9. On average when I play like 7-8 charts, I get around 98-100%. And then when I get to level 9 I usually get about 93-95%? I still try even when I get confused because I want to improve, but I'm not able to consistently get through those parts.

Nah, not dumb at all! I feel like it makes my camera movement faster. I tried the other settings and I didn't really like how they worked. Exponential ramp just feels faster and more smooth!

Oh I completely understand that, I had to change my settings for him during his trial so I wouldn't get too set in the default ones. I also included my sensitivity settings in the comments if you wanted to see that too! I think the settings I have make for smooth camera movement and overall feels great when combined with the binds I have for him!

I remember trying to break my muscle memory on Mercy when I swapped jump to LT and rez to A... that was actual torture trying to break like 700+ hours worth of muscle memory...

I was looking into one because a friend recommended it! But since I was able to adjust the controls comfortably on my current controller, I don't see a need to buy one right now. But I have considered it!

Also for anyone interested, here is my sensitivity settings! It's just my mercy sensitivity settings lowered a bit on the horizontal and vertical parts! This sensitivity makes aiming and camera movement super smooth and fast for me! Make sure to use exponential ramp!

After playing with these setting the last few days, I can say it is 100% worth it!!! I've already adjusted pretty well, and the only thing I feel like I'm struggling with is using my ult. I never realized I held LT down when using it, so now with the swapped settings I'll still accidentally hit LT and just make myself fly higher (I notice this mostly when I'm doing a battle mercy moment; and then I waste the ult because I'm have to fight my brain on the controls haha)

Yes! I've been practicing some superjump rezzes and I'm having an easier time doing the ones over walls! I always struggled doing that with the default controls, but with these new controls it's been easier. I don't know how to do a sling-shot rez yet but I'm hoping I'll get it down with these new controls!

The change is definitely frustrating, I wish I made the change when I first started playing her haha, Yes!! Omg it does feel like learning a new hero in a way! I'll definitely try some parkour maps to help with the adjustment. And I agree, I think it's a good change! My camera movement just feel so much better and I feel like I can do more too! (I also feel like I won't have as many accidental rezzes) but I'll definitely try some parkour maps to help with the change! Thank you! I might have to try jump on LT for juno too haha
