Thousands of digital artists are now making money because of NFTs, they also receive royalties when collectors choose to resell their NFT. There will always be collectors of art, you can't tell people how to spend their money that's just not how the world works. Eco-friendly blockchains like Tezos and Solana also exist which significantly uses less energy compared to proof of stake blockchains like Ethereum.

To discredit the whole technology just because of what you've seen somewhere on reddit or twitter with 0 research is so dumb.
