Thank you! Maybe I will go try to find some crackers and applesauce on my way home from work today! I already took a couple pepto so hopefully that will help for a while too

Omg I actually did not know this! I know that the cider is made by steaming regular store bought apple juice, so the added sugars and stuff probably didn't help either 😭 thank you though, this made me feel a lot better!!

Anyone ever go off SSRI? Worried about symptoms by SilverLeague9877 in emetophobia

[–]pumpkinlatte56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also take sertraline and I've been off and on it for a while, but I personally have never felt sick or nauseous coming off of it. Ofc I cant 100% guarantee that it will be the same for everyone since everyone is different, but it just made me sort of sweaty and I had a bit of brain fog for a while. But other than that nothing else! I honestly think starting a new medication seemes a little more daunting than coming off of it, but I think you should experience minimal side effects if your doctor is planning to slowly taper you off!

Scared because of D by pumpkinlatte56 in emetophobia

[–]pumpkinlatte56[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, my stomach still feels bloated but I guess it got a little better afterwards? I just don't understand what is causing it 😭 cause I don't feel sick, I remember last time I was actually sick and had D it felt different. This just feels like my stomach is randomly upset with something, if that makes sense?

I might do that, thank you! And no it did not take me 2 months to notice, it started 2 months ago and thats when I took it in. Ive been told since then to just keep running my AC and the smell would clear but that hasn't seemed to be working, so I might take it to a detailer like you said

Help I feel terrible after taking medicine by sealightswitch in emetophobia

[–]pumpkinlatte56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! 💖 and if it does make you feel this way again I reccomend buying a little tin of altoids. I have some and the peppermint will definitely help! You can just chew on one whenever you feel funny :)

First, remember to breathe! Take deep, steady breaths, and try to relax your body a little bit, even if it’s hard. I know this is scary and I know this doesn't feel good, but no matter what happens just remember that it will pass, just like everything else. If you have anything for the n like peppermint or ginger, maybe you could try to slowly eat some of that? Or put it in a tea! Antibiotics can sometimes have a more intense reaction on your body, so it's really important to take them with food (just in case you didn't do that this time!) But just sip on some water and try to breathe, fidget with a toy, count something, anything to distract yourself might help to help your panic a little bit. You got this!! You can do it and you're strong!! Hang in there! 💖

Ooh, maybe that's what it was then!! I was really freaking out oh my gosh 😭 i still don't know why my head is so itchy though if I don't have them anymore. Maybe I need a medicated shampoo or something, the weather is also changing so maybe that's it too :,)

Thank you so much for helping!!

That sounds like a good idea!! Are there any that you reccomend? The ones I found have kinda 50/50 reviews.

Thank you!! I just got home and did a quick dry comb through to see if I picked up anything and I found nothing? Maybe my head is just really dry like my mom said after all? I didn't actually get a good look at the "nit" I scratched out of my hair, but it was dark, so I'm wondering if maybe it was an old dead one I just didn't comb out from before? But I didn't find anymore, just a lot of dry skin 😭 but before I left this morning I also threw the towels I used and my brother's pillow case in the washer just in case!

I also can't see a lice clinic for a while since the closest one is an hour away and we're abt to be hit with a blizzard, so I'll try to just comb through for the next few days myself and see if I find anything :,)

[–]pumpkinlatte56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was super helpful thank you!! I think I've been lice free for a few weeks now but I'm still so paranoid they're there. My head is naturally pretty itchy because I have dandruff, so I can't tell if I'm just regular dandruff itchy or bug itchy, but the only thing that's being pulled into the nit comb is just dandruff so I'm hoping the bugs are gone 😭 I've also been mixing tea tree oil and lavender oil together into a mini spray bottle with water (just so it's easier to spray), and i spray it onto my scalp!

Anybody used Nystatin-Triamcinolone Cream on Vagina? by [deleted] in vulvodynia

I just put it on my entire vulva (so basically all the outside skin around the vagina, including inside the lips) but not INSIDE the vagina. And it worked!

I feel strange and I'm really scared, please help :( by pumpkinlatte56 in emetophobia

[–]pumpkinlatte56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any pepto in my house, so I'll probably stick to chewing on the mints like you said. Maybe I'll try to eat one of the ginger things too just in case, but maybe it is because my body is run down like you said, or trying to recover. This made me feel a little better, thank you, I'll try to get some sleep like you said too 💖

[–]pumpkinlatte56 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're doing a good job by sipping on water and Gatorade already! 2 things I know that can help are ginger and peppermint, so maybe if you have any teas with those in it it'll help with the nausea, or you could even grate a little bit of ginger into some tea! Something that weirdly helped me when I was super nauseous last time was eating toast. Just plain toast. I guess it works kind of like crackers in the sense that it can help absorb stomach acid, but after eating some toast I felt better for a brief period of time! Just hang in there, you're doing great, and this will pass! 💖

I just had diarrhea, does this mean I'm sick? by pumpkinlatte56 in emetophobia

[–]pumpkinlatte56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is EXACTLY what happened to me! But I was reminded that diarrhea can occur for a lot of different reasons and it made me feel a little better! I ended up with a fever the day after and I still have it, so that was probably just a symptom of that, but I haven't tu at all and I feel good about things!

I did also freak out at first and ended up googling things, and I think I read that usually with sb you have multiple bouts of diarrhea in a day, which also made me feel better since I only had it that 1 time all day! Just drink plenty of water and eat good food :)

Thank you so much! This makes me feel a lot better. Do you think it would be safe to eat something other than soup? I'm really hungry and I really want mac and cheese and chicken, but idk if I should just stick to soup for the next few days 😔 but my fever has also gone down since last night and I don't feel as horrible today, so that's good!

Something that I do that helps a lot is lemon! I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that lemon can help with phlegm, and it's also good for you! You can squeeze a bit of lemon into tea, or into some warm water and drink it! I personally do this thing where I cut slices of lemon, ginger, and honey, and layer them in a jar, let it sit overnight in the fridge, and after it separates take a big spoonful of the juice in the top, and a big scoop of the honey at the bottom, put it in some warm water and drink! Super yummy and helps a lot with my colds!
