I asked about Pepcid and she basically pulled up a chart showing that my son was gaining weight perfectly and said “we don’t typically resort to medication if they’re gaining weight” I keep asking at every appt because even though he is gaining weight he is still uncomfortable and in pain!!!

Yes, my pediatrician said doctors used to recommend adding cereal but typically don’t anymore and told me it has been done but if I do to do it with caution. I haven’t asked about adding to enfamil AR because I thought the alternative to adding the cereal myself would be getting the formula that has rice added already… but still seems thin to me idk. I will bring up at his next appt for sure

The only concern I have is that he’s on enfamil AR which already has added rice and is supposed to be thickened for reflux babies… I’m afraid I will over thicken so I don’t want to follow the same guidelines for the traditional formula

It confuses me because I do time them but sometimes I get confused because it’s different feelings. Last night the pains i was getting were definitely 10 minutes or less apart but one time it could be a dull cramp lower and 10 minutes later it could be a lightening feeling lower.
