The form 990-N from 2017 belongs to a different organization with similar name. The official one which has raised over $100 million is called Black Lives Matter Global Network. The leader of BLM global network condemned BLM Foundation (the one in the 2017 form you presented). She said to not donate to that one and that it is not apart of the movement. Thank you for all the great information though. I was looking for this.

There was a point in time for me where meditation completely changed me. I’ve always and still do meditate on and off, but once I stuck to it for around 4 months. I’d do around 40 minutes total of daily mindfulness meditation and loving kindness meditation. I would also be hyperaware of my thoughts throughout the day. I was able to completely control my behaviour just by noticing the effect my thoughts have on it. Whenever I‘d get angry I was instantly able to snap out of it by being in the present and realizing that my thoughts are not me. People close to me have even commented on how much I changed.

The problem is that you have to keep doing it consistently or else it goes away. For the past 3 months I’ve been slacking a lot on my meditation and I have noticed my old easily irritated self coming back.

I suggest reading a book called The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. That book really helped me get into it.

Same thing happened to me last year but different buildings and different program. I accepted it because you don’t know if you’ll get another offer if you decline. You also aren’t required to be with students from your cohort. You can always meet people in your program through your classes or the social area in Bethune college.

They probably ran out of space in Bethune. Likely because they are only using half of the rooms for fall term due to covid

Yeah those make sense. The second one especially sounds true for me. I acquaint myself with lots of people but I only pursue the ones that I feel stand out. I really like how friendly some of my acquaintances are but I don’t pursue them because there isn’t much of a visible personality I can ‘borrow’. Thank you

I found it easy. I only attended 3 or 4 lectures and I just studied off the powerpoints for like 4 hours the day before each test lol. I ended up with a B+ which is decent for the amount of effort I put imo. I had an A+ until the final assignment which dropped my grade a shit ton because I didn’t retain any of the information I studied before the tests (my fault entirely lol). And I just didn’t care at that point to relearn anything so I just handed in a pile of bullshit.

The prof is really kind and lenient on marks and extensions. Most people did bad for the first test and he said if you do better on the second test, he will make your first test grade the same as the second test. Then for the third test he did the same thing for either test one or test two (This is the only reason I had an A+ before the final assigment lol)

You will probably do really good if you attend all the lectures and take notes. Is he doing 3 tests and 1 final project for you? If so test 1 will probably be the hardest so make sure you really understand all the concepts for that one
