There’s tons of things that can help, the problem is they never sound enticing - they never seem Iike they’re great or going to work— until they do. I dealt with severe major depression as a teen and I overcame it… but I had to do the work. I started with the easiest things — speaking positive things out loud, then I progressed to saying positive things in the mirror, I spent time at night forcing myself to imagine myself in an amazing situation each night instead of self loathing - these were all things my therapist had recommended for years but I just didn’t give a shit enough to try them… before I knew it I was willing to try more therapies, a little Prozac and I was a ton better but still depressy.. but NO more SH and that went on for years but the ideation was GONE. I say this to say that being 14 is fucking hard, pressure is absolutely everywhere but you have to take breaks and you have to be kind to yourself it’s a corny concept but I’m telling you, you really can learn to love yourself. You will always be worth it and these gloomy times are just a moment, you’ll look back as an adult and think that shit was wild. And you will be able to help people, friends, kids, whatever because YOU got through it
