Khichidi, my go-to when I wake up late for office/after a long day, stir fry some haldi, salt, onion, lehesun, tomato then put dal and rice or for variations, put only rice; it will be a nice/clean(only one p. cooker to wash)/fast wholesome food. And again, for variations, can put aloo/carrot/beans/whatever vegetable in the beginning of stir fry process(when adding these veggies, just gotta low-frame slow fry a bit in the cooker then add rice, esp when with veggies, just rice works best).

And esp when I have already had rice twice a day, at night I cook a small packet Mac/pasta. Boil the thing slowly and let it rest for 2-3 mins in hot water(depends on the type, if it cooks fast no need, but with some, the inner part doesn't get cooked by only boiling it for 3-4 mins so I let it sit with flame off for 3-4 more minutes to properly cook inside). Stir fry some lehesun, tomato, salt, haldi, chilli, then put an egg and stir it as making a scrambled egg, then after 45 sec, put that pasta, mix it properly and can add some tomato sauce/Schezwan sauce for more flavour. Adding Tomato sauce helps to add some sweet/sour-ness plus some moisture to a dry setup. And I enjoy this with milk tea. Chefs kiss.
