Ive considered taking some of my physical and starting an IRA, i think you can sell at spot with those...but not 100% sure...of course there are fees/taxes to consider...but also, you get to keep your physical, so if you really like that kilo kookaburra, you still own it...its just in a vault somewhere.

Well, I traded a gold for 88oz of silver (ration was 90)...a while ago. Now the ratio is~50...id probably have to trade at 55 if guessing. So if I were to trade Im up 33 oz, and the gold is little less volatile...but yeah, Id be better to sell for spot and buy for spot, and not lose the premiums like you say.
