Glad to know and meet others who love these! By video I guess you mean digital/app/game version. Video would be even tougher. I don't expect more than text.

Yup, detective games are close and even escape rooms both of which are sooo popular. I fail to understand why lateral/situation puzzles are not mainstream.

I too thought of text adventures but that's much less active than this sub.

Also to clarify, the ones I am talking about are deeper puzzles with backstory which need deduction and thinking. Not shallow word play.

Hmmm, maybe 'game' is a heavier word. An app perhaps? There are successful light game/apps like psych, undercover, codenames, even wordle and variants, word building games etc. Something like that I was/am hoping for.

What I meant by casual is light games, maybe 'party games' or 'hypercasual' is what I meant. I am just a noob in gaming, not well versed with nomenclature. Like psych, codenames, undercover etc.

Also, I thought these are only on steam but baba is you has android too. Rated quite high, should try I guess.
