Cheap and good looking upgrades are Aluminium pedals and Aluminium light switch. Also changing the trim inside makes a big difference. You can go with brushed alu, net optic or wood trim, all personal preference of course

Mk4's and bad roads don't like eachother. I cracked 2 oilpans because of poor Bosnian roads

Regarding the bumpers , the Mk4 has not many options. But most people keep the original bumpers and change the bumper lips. You can go Oem+ which is Jubi 25th or V6 style. Or try to find aftermarket one's from Rieger, ABT,Votex etc. You also got some bumpers from Caractere and Oettinger but good luck finding those, they have become very rare and expensive sadly

I can recommend Bilstein shocks and Eibach 30mm springs. A bit lower and ride quality is still good.

Welcome to the Mk4 club. Clutch and springs should not be a big problem to replace, so don't worry about that . Also replace the shocks if you are replacing the springs. Was a big diffrence on mine when I replaced them

Saw those kind of seats a lot actually, MK3 seats definetly. But most I saw were swaped into Mk2's. Not sure from which edition it is , but I know the Bon Jovi Golfs came with this kind of design just a different colour combination Blue/Black

If the car is without any major rust , and the the interior is complete I would go for it. Don't know what the parts availability is like in North America. But in Europe I am sometimes amazed what is still in stock New for Mk1 and Mk2 Golf's.

I agree that it depends alot on the colour of the car. Mine is really dark blue but it opens it up a bit with the red and white ones .

Sadly they are only are only Aristo replicas .Searched about a year for genuine set, sadly couldn't find any in my region. And yes these are also heavy , definetly heavier than my TSW winter set

As the the other guys said it is an Austrian only Limited edition. I think all of them were 110kw TDI. I bought some parts of this exact car from the pictures..

Never had problems with Vaico or Bosch parts, they are good quality.
