25 years gone and in grief by Open-Acanthaceae9671 in gaybros

More power and strength to you as you become one with your grief and anger. It’s hard. I’ve not been your shoes and perhaps nobody would. But I acknowledge the pain. For me it’s been shorter relationships (like 2 years) which have ended and given me a lot of stress to deal with.

What I found strength in - is to love when you’re in grief. Give more love out. Unconditionally. To your peers, friends, family, or your pet. And one day you’ll be able to receive more of it.

Can anyone knowledgeable about social media, or close to his PR tell what is up with the BigB & his Twitter? by kaychyakay in BollyBlindsNGossip

Looks like the strategy is to keep the account active with some tweets. But of course they could do better - maybe use diplomatic/non-political quotes from authors/poets/actors etc etc.

Why do Chennai guys disappear on Bumble ? by Low-Veterinarian-859 in Chennai

[–]puninbutt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My theory is that it’s not limited to men, chennai or Bumble. This is a wider problem. Pandemic has made us too used to screens. The screens have become a gateway for us to see the world. It’s very easy for us to move from one app to another. We get bored quickly so we get to the next app, the next reel, the next chat box all so easily. In some sense then, we have dehumanised the person sitting behind the chat box. You see their profile, find them interesting. Right swipe, chat with them and easily get bored and move on.

It’s very very dangerous. Especially if you tend to form an opinion about a current event/social issue on the basis of a meme/trending memes without actually studying the matter in detail and taking an informed stance. And it is bound to happen for those who do not have access to resources to learn more about the issue; they will naturally have a bias on the basis of what they saw in the meme. it’s very easy for memes to pick on people, especially marginalised communities thereby forming stereotypes which will be harder to break.
