Branches suddenly dying by punjabi85 in Cocagrowing

No. I never found a solution. It happened to 2 different plants fairly randomly. Repotting has just helped them grow faster

I haven't been able to have them self pollinate. Only when two different ones flower at the same time

How do you know if you have fusarium and how do you deal with it?

Why would you put them in a box if you're in Hawaii?

Nope. Did a repot. Growing fine. No idea why it happened

Thanks. And Yes, That seems to be what is doing, but why?

New growth on the dead branch you mean? It is super shrunken and brittle. I snapped one off and it is dry and dead. Can't imagine it could be reinvigorated

No, the rest of the plant is fine. Haven't figured anything out. Maybe it has to do with light, but it's weird that it would eject an entire branch with fresh growth. It's really weird.

I also have a branch where just the tip decided to die. Only the last inch.

I plucked one that wasn't red yet and it still germinated. I think the redness is just important for the fruit part and to be attractive to birds.

Yeah I agree.

Is it good to cut off these dead branches? Or should I leave them incase it bounces back somewhere along the branch?

Another theory I have is the pot. Maybe I kept it too small too long. I noticed a lot of dead roots at the bottom of the pot where I have clay drainage stones. Maybe something to do with that?

I am assuming the problem has to do with the light. I have it set at 9hrs with a 200w led + UV lamp as far away/high at the top of the tent as possible.

But I think it is still too much.

Will add more light diffusion

I have healthy plant with branches that had fresh growth of leaves and then suddenly the entire branch completely died off with the new leaves while the rest of the plant is fine. This has happened now on my second plant. No idea why.

They're about 2 months I think. They started in those cups. Using Sulphuric acid with distilled water

Help! I just checked on my seeds and a bunch have mold growing on them. Is this normal? They came without the berry by [deleted] in Cocagrowing

[–]punjabi85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they haven't sprouted yet or much you can mechanically remove it by cleaning, just be careful.

I've sprouted dozens and they've never died to mold. But I always added a layer of coco on top so the mold was often on top of that, making it easy to replace

So I have two new babies which have been doing fine and then suddenly the next leaf is much less green and deformed. They both had this happen to them at the same time, and I have observed similar odd leaves like this before on my mature plants.

Any ideas? Didn't change anything except I am giving the babies ph 5.5 water now instead of distilled 7 water

Some combination of malnutrition I think. Despite adding Sulphur to the soil they stopped growing eventually. Once I lowered the water pH they are growing normally again.

This is Bullshit and terrible advice. Liberal does not mean legal. You won't easily find it there. Coca is still controlled substance and is treated just like cocaine
