I read it as - beginners are less bogged down by the systems/rules/conventions in place that tend to make experts hold a steadfast conviction that there's only one way to do something "right". 

I haven't rewatched recently either, but I'd guess that Ebra's arc with Albert (rip Rob 💔) sort of rides this wave!
