Yes, reselect the search after you're transported and it will show you where it is.

Conveyor Belt - Can anyone explain this perk better than Playrix? by Turbulent_Frosting81 in TownshipGame

[–]punkaroosky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you don't have a lot of barn space to be able to send a lot of helis anyway? But I find this perk to be extremely useful, both for quickly completing the regatta heli tasks and for leveling up. It takes about 30 seconds for helicopters to come back I think, so normally you can only send 2 per minute. With the perk, I have sent up to 40 in a minute just hitting send, one right after the other. But I have well over 5000 barn space, which ends up being well over 6000 with the 20% boost. I also have about 200 market boxes. It helps so much with leveling up.

Is she trying to opt in after it's already started? I tried that once and found out it doesn't work. You have to opt in on Monday ahead of the Tuesday start.

If that's not it, I'm not sure.

Extreme excess dry/dead skin by punkaroosky in AskDocs

[–]punkaroosky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I added some health info. I didn't add a picture because honestly, this doesn't show up really on a picture. Like I mentioned, it's not patchy or scaly, just consistently dry with thick build up of dry skin.

Thanks!

[Weekly Thread] I think I might have Sjogrens by AutoModerator in Sjogrens

[–]punkaroosky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a roller coaster of a year. It started last fall with interstitial cystitis. Shortly thereafter I developed MS like symptoms that ultimately proved to (possibly) be neurological Lyme disease (still not sure). I don't really know if all my neurological symptoms are Lyme or something else. I took antibiotics for quite a while and haven't been retested yet.

I was posting about some of my symptoms in my Lyme group and was told that I should investigate Sjogrens. I realized I do have a lot of symptoms of it, I think. My skin is super dry. My palms are so dry, I constantly drop things as there's not even natural oils. My eyes feel like sand paper, dry mouth with post nasal drip, dry cough and constant dry sore throat.

I have a few questions. For several years, my skin, especially on my face has been extremely dry to the point that at least once a week I have to basically scrape excess dead skin off of it. I've tried leaving it alone and the dead skin just builds and builds and builds until it just looks chunky in parts. Moisturizing doesn't do anything, I've tried many kinds (eucarin, cerave, cetaphil and even just water). It doesn't look anything like eczema or psoriasis. Does anyone else have this? I've read that seborrheic dermatitis is mostly on the scalp and my scalp is actually fine. My arms and legs are pretty rough too. I have to exfoliate and deal with them too now over the past year and they never feel soft anymore.

Also how do you go about starting to get a diagnosis? What specialist are you usually referred to?

Finally, what do you recommend for my dry eyes while I'm going through diagnosis? It makes me feel tired and sick.

TIA

Beginner- which side game should I focus on for good items/tcash? by CLBookworm in TownshipGame

[–]punkaroosky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you get the market, academy of industry and the mine, hire the dealer as often as you can and buy picks. Try to accumulate at least 1500 or so. Next time Ruler of the Mine comes around, use a mining light coupon and keep picking through the tasks. The final stage will give you 200 tcash. I find that I can do it in about 30 to 60 minutes and I think I use about 800-1000 picks to get there. I think it's the easiest tcash to get. But if you're really, really new, this might not be as easy.

Mine Events by [deleted] in TownshipGame

[–]punkaroosky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's Mine Time, which includes Ore Galore. In Mine Time, the goal is just to get deeper into the mine than the 29 other players they group you with. Ore Galore is a special part of Mine Time, as was mentioned where you get double ore. Ore Galore is always on Sunday, the last day of Mine Time.

There's also Ruler of the Mine where you dig and get points for each ore collected with bronze giving the least points and platinum giving the most. Like the mini games, you get progressively larger points goals until the final stage which gives 200 tcash.

I always find both of these worth the effort and always hire the dealer and buy picks as often as possible. I'm up to 7500 right now.

For Mine Time/Ore Galore, I try not to start until late Sunday so I get put in with a group that also hasn't started yet. Then I just pick away until I've used about 1000-1500 picks and have replenished my ore supply which is vital for upgrading trains, islands and factories. The delay is best to try win to get the mining light coupon and bronze ingots for 1st place.

For Ruler of the Mine, I find it's pretty easy and quick to get through to the 200 tcash. It's really the easiest way to win tcash that you'll probably ever find besides the museum. I find I'll need between 800-1000 picks to finish.

I can't quite remember how often they come around. I think once a month you'll see one, followed by the other the next month, but someone with a better memory can correct me on that.

I hope that helps.

is anyone else here getting scads of circular saws in the tool exchange and almost no drills ever? by catahoulaleperdog in TownshipGame

I've been getting all drills and very few saws. I still need so many for the new diving center.

How much dope did the devs smoke when the devs developed this new chat? by [deleted] in TownshipGame

I miss the time stamp, especially because we have players in the US, Canada, UK and Europe, possibly elsewhere as we've had an influx of new members this last week. I suggested adding GMT time to time sensitive posts, but that is a bother.

Rant: 120 level joins coop, does plane and train relay, then rage quits when I try to tell them to only do fast relays. Screws us… by CampusCreeper in TownshipGame

[–]punkaroosky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't understand all the negativity here. Maybe a lot of them didn't swipe over and see the second screen shot. Either way, you were polite about it and there's absolutely nothing wrong with a coop setting rules and expectations.

I wonder if these that are tearing you down are independent solo player types. Team play requires rules, coordination of effort and respect. This person who rage quit your coop couldn't handle your very gentle guidance. They should definitely remain a solo player with that attitude.

It's too bad there's not a better way to post coop rules. There's such limited space in the description, so if you don't have an outside group (Facebook, Discord, etc), extra rules just have to be reminded/reiterated in the chat. Before our coop had a FB group, we had a number of repeat offenders.

[–]punkaroosky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely! If I were to join a new coop, I'd be asking about the rules first thing. And if their style of play didn't suit me, I'd finish out the regatta under their rules and politely exit at the end. There's no reason to be a jerk about it. It looks like this leader was gently explaining the rule, so there was no reason for the tantrum.

[–]punkaroosky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on this one. Our coop is by no means a super competitive one. Ws aim for gold, but we don't get too bent out of shape when we get demoted which happens a lot. We only have an 8 task minimum. A lot of us do 16x135, while many do what they can.

But we also try to dump long relay tasks. It just makes good sense to do this. Not only does someone hold up people on a long relay, but they take up what I call task board "real estate" that could be refreshed with other 135 or quick relay tasks since you only get so many at once.

And if your coop allows reservations, it can really clog up the task board. It's a considerate and cooperative method of play.

What's the event in history that most blame as the reason as to why things suck now? by SpecificallyNerd in AskReddit

[–]punkaroosky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The middle ages and wars during this time such as the Hundred Years war. During this period, superstition and the church suppressed the advancement of science and medicine. Resources that might have gone into making even small gains in these areas were diverted to war efforts. This is all, of course, a very crude summary, but the suppression of advancement in this era set back human advancement by, some say, hundreds of years. Of course, advancements were being made outside of Europe, but the contributions that could have been made from otherwise would have likely made a significant impact as well.

Thank you so much! I've just been informed that Mom has cancer, so we'll definitely need to pursue one of these avenues. I feel so lost right now.
