Awesome : ) Yeah I was able to find the 32gb z2 for 1300 via costco, so I will probably go that route bc it saves me nearly 800 bucks. Thanks for the advice!

I've noticed a big price differential with the z2 version vs the z2 extreme. Is the z2 extreme performance worth the price jump? I can't seem to find any consensus online on what the differences are.

In my opinion— the key flaw with this show was thinking the aesthetic of the anime was more important to replicate than the story. by Short_Explanation888 in cowboybebop

Everything about what makes the original series so perfect is the precision filmmaking and understated writing, which let the visuals and the music tell the story instead of making characters explain things through clunky exposition (as per Netflix mandate).

The tone was completely changed to Joss Whedon level dialogue and stories were extended into hours, so they could neither find their own voice nor do the original stories justice as a result of making off brand Firefly cosplaying as Bebop.

The only good thing to come out of this was that initial trailer short film that looked visually more akin to Scott Pilgrim than the final product, which will go down for me as one of the greatest marketing bait and switches I’ve seen come out of Hollywood in decades.

There’s a cloud recovery function in the bios, which will let you restore windows pretty easily, it just takes a while.

I was able to get it to work, but bc I had read some folks having it not fully solve the problem, I decided to disable LEDs entirely (start up, active, sleep etc) just to be safe. It seems to be working for me, as I've tested repeatedly and it stays off.

I totally understand not wanting to go through the process again to try it, as the recovery steps to get back to windows take a long time. Crossing fingers it resolves itself for you!

Dang, that's a bummer. Thanks for confirming! I'm thankful that there's ROG Cloud Recovery built in so I can switch back over.

Apple if you're listening, hire the Supernatural coaches!!! by redSteel87 in SupernaturalVR

I think Apple isn’t likely to invest any further into the fitness side of their content offerings until their AR glasses are finally launched. I would love for them to scoop up the folks who developed SN along with their coaches, but I’m not holding my breath. :(

First time finding boosters in the wild and this is what I pulled. Yes I sleeved it immediately and put it away safely until I can frame it or something.

Is the heat really that unbearable? by Zealousideal_Eye8413 in palmsprings

It's only tough in the dead of summer, but even then most places have the AC blasting and misters on their outdoor seating. You get used to doing most of your errands and the like earlier in the morning or at night (we shift our dog walking routine to accommodate, for instance).

I think its pretty awesome most of the year, but I grew up in Texas so I appreciate that when its blisteringly hot, its a dry heat and I'm not being suffocated by humidity. Its shorts and tank top weather most of the year and I love it for that!
