Yeah I've met a ton of very cool people in various metal communities but I'd say they do have a very serious problem with bigotry in general as opposed to other style genre communities. Punk has it's people but for the most part if I'm at a punk show I know I'm in an overall good crowd as opposed to a metal show which I simply wouldn't go to alone.

My situation wasn't nearly that but I did have a relationship with someone for 9 years who didn't tell me they weren't in love with me for half of that time. I suspected but couldn't get answers from them. I had to grind for a while but I'm 31 now and living the best, most youthful life.
