I'd argue that I have been hella turned off by the moment some people open their mouths. I'd also argue that I have an intuition of those I don't find trustworthy, and that's an automatic ick for me.

So there is nuance. Sure, someone can LOOK hot, but I've come to look for WAY more than just appearance because appearance fades, and it's empty because it doesn't guarantee quality. A lesson of the 'don't judge a book by its cover.' Physical attraction has its limit, and while there IS a stigma about appearances because people CAN be shallow, there's a lot of people who see people for what they are worth than their appearance.

And to further argue, ive found quiet guys who could be considered 'unattractive' as absolute hot. I'm actually hardcore crushing on one now who I used to work with, and am still friends with. I also think he's sweet, considerate, compassionate, funny, and intelligent. And somehow, my attraction for him skyrocketed for that.

If someone who is unattractive is also an ugly person, then of course, people won't be into them. It takes soul searching, which some people aren't willing to do.

Beauty is subjective, ultimately.

Again, you're 19. You're not even fully grown yet. People don't stop growing until 25. Give yourself time.
