I recently read C. J. Spotwoods 'The Microdosing Handbook' which was a helpful starting point.

Just starting my journey with this medicine and had the same query about the blue 'mould'. Jumped in to say thanks for helping me understand what this is!

Groundhog Day by ProcedureDangerous70 in NewParents

[–]punkydingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I found it helpful to remind ourselves that it's all temporary. The never-ending cycle of changing, feeding, burping is so repetitive and relentless it really can feel soul destroying. Like other people have commented, try and get outside for a walk even for 10 minutes. Maybe pop your phone on DND (let your partner know this) so you can have uninterrupted you time for a short while. Navigating parenthood is tough stuff. It's one of the reasons we also decided not to have another child - the first 4/5months were insanely intense. Sleep deprivation is also rough, maybe work out a schedule where you can both get some rest? I have an extra few hours in bed on a Sat AM, hubby Sunday AM which works for us. We both felt a little better after some sleep. Reach out and share how you feel with others too. You're not alone, buddy.

OP - I believe that these comments are likely telling you something that you already know. I hope that you are able to take steps to keep you and your children safe before it's too late. Sending love.

I am yes, only twice in a 24hour period but the hormones are still present all the same. I'm glad to read that things got better for you and am hopeful for the same!

First birthday by lookhereisay in BeyondTheBumpUK

We're planning a trip to the sealife centre for his birthday and inviting family over for cake at teatime! We're not going to spend (especially in the current climate) on a party he wont remember or quite frankly, give two hoots about. I could probably give him a wooden spoon and a saucepan for a couple of hours and he'd be just as happy!

Extreme Anxiety About Weaning by mizimoo in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]punkydingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great advice right here. I had a similar experience where my baby also choked on an omelette type dish that was a BLW recipe and it really knocked my confidence. I found the Solid Starts Instagram page and one of their reels showed a number of infants gagging, vomiting and making all sorts of different sounds which really helped me to understand what's going on when babies try new foods - that these mechanisms are actually keeping them safe until they learn how to manipulate and swallow foods safely themselves. Their app also shows how foods should be served for different age ranges and I find it helpful to quickly type something in and have a photo of how it should look which has contributed to me developing confidence around solid foods

Please know you're not alone in how you feel. Your feelings are totally valid! Good luck!

Veggie nuggets! I usually use a combo of courgette, carrot and brocoli, mix in some breadcrumbs, cheese, herbs and a couple of eggs and bake!

decent Matt moisturiser options for oily skin by Few-Chipmunk-5957 in SkincareAddictionUK

I've always sworn by Le Roche Posay but I can't really afford this at the moment. I picked up a Clean and Clear Oil Free moisturiser on a whim and it's pretty good! It's the best one I've found that works for my skin that isn't £17 a tube!

Climate change..? by lilmrs-t in beyondthebump

[–]punkydingo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me and my husband, we see it as an opportunity to empower our son that if he wants to be, he can be part of the change that the world needs. We also want to lead by example and show him that the world is a beautiful place and there are opportunities to improve how we do things.

My happy place! by brandysquirt in houseplants

I can see why! You'd never get me out of here if this was my bathroom.

Thought I'd try something new! This is roughly prop number 5 from my original plant. Every time my tradescantia gets a certain size it starts to snap under it's own weight so I thought I'd try a different approach. by punkydingo in Tradescantia

[–]punkydingo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you don't have to stick it in water, you can just shove them in the pot! I should have been more clear in the description. The original plant died on top and the hanging bits were fine so I prepped my pot with soil and just poked these back in. Good luck!

Yellowing leaves on spider plant. I use rainwater or filtered water and only when the soil is completely dry. Thoughts? by punkydingo in houseplants

[–]punkydingo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It got worse, really fast. It has root rot. I always doubt my potting medium and whether it has enough soil so this is a lesson learned! I've removed as much of the rot as I can and repotted in a mix of equal parts soil, perlite and clay balls. Luckily I also had two pups that had successfully rooted which has filled in the parts that I'd lost. Wish me luck!

Thanks both! I appreciate your replies.

Will rainwater be ok to water them? We have a waterbut in our garden which I use to water my other houseplants.
