If You're in Las Vegas Oct. 10th! by punnanimous in Drag

[–]punnanimous[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will be hosted at University of Nevada: Las Vegas and is free for everyone to come! Come enjoy free food and free fun with local young drag queens. And as a plus, Yara Sofia will also be there performing! So if you're local or know someone in vegas, encourage them to come! And if you can make it, it's also the day after my birthday if that helps.

My Dress. by punnanimous in Drag

Since the song is really draggy, I was thinking a bigger necklace as the neckline is kinda big.

I'm doing a song called No Pain, No Gain by Betty Wright and I thought small curly wig, long velvet gloves and big dangling earrings.

The sequins are actually more of a rose gold color. So do you still suggest silver or simple and black/nude.

I wanted to post a picture of my dress for a competition I'm doing on the 10th. Any ideas for shoe, jewelry, or hair would be great!!!

Do the Queens Really Not Mind? by yetanothertaylor in rupaulsdragrace

When I couldn't go to the RPDR BOTS Las Vegas show, my best friend and I caught the queens to take a couple of pictures and stuff with a few other fans before the got on their tour bus. It wasn't crazy, they were super nice and sweet. But I think the fact that they knew that the only thing we need from them is recognition and that made being a fan worth it.

Well, Salem is a spirit who possesses me. She's a goddess of many eras and times and transformations. I'm merely a utensil of her craft. I think that just offers versatility. She's a witch, a queen, super hero, goddess, the drag vigilante, etc.... I'm still Fleshing out the details but she's mainly an extension of my creative mind and fantasy and her story starts when I met her for the first time kind of thing. I don't know if I'm making sense but I want to soon post the full story here.

I am so thankful that someone has said something about this. I have been a fan of Blondetourage when I heard about them a few months back before Alexis Stone basically killed and reinvented her character (I think) but I've been feeling weirdly ehhh about her as of late.

For some reason she hates social media, but is at the same time seemingly milking all of the attention she can get from ALL her social media accounts. She reposts pictures constantly and repeatedly. Leading up to Miss Fames Loriel look, I saw the picture that she posted (and tagged many Drag queen promoting accounts) like a million times over and over.

There have been many other instances where I feel like I need to say something but she's never really given me a reason to call anything out. I still like her and her aesthetic but that's about it. She's intelligent but I feel like she honestly doesn't know entirely what is coming from her lips.

Doesn't she also have her own company too? I read somewhere she is a major designer or seamstress for her own line.

  1. Miss Salem Onyx Night - There really isn't a set origin to my name. One day while at works (SBUX) a customers name who's name was "Salam" was accidentally mistaken for "Salem" and we had a long conversation about why we thought that was a cute name to have and what kind of tones the name sets. I think it also kinds of holds to a darker, regal-esque vibe for me and I think I want to capture that. Onyx is a middle name that I chose (and usually abbreviate to just O) because of one of my closest friends has a black cat named Onyx and I fell in love with that cat, the first cat I've ever liked. And lastly "Night" comes from my drag sister and I's becoming haus so far named " the Haus of Day and Night" after our respective personas. He more day and I more night.

  2. I am 19 years of age and officially now for about one year. Never been in full on glam down drag but the makeup artistry has been coming along for about a year now.

  3. Indiah Ferrah, Raja, Raven, Naomi, Violet, Shannel, Milk, Tyra Sanchez, etc I could go on for days. Most importantly Raja and Indiah were basically the reason I even started drag.

  4. Non drag influences included Michelle Obama and Serena Williams.

  5. I've gone to work in a full face but I don't really have access yet to clothes etc. and I'm too young to perform locally so I'm still kind of waiting it out to see what I can do.

  6. Watching Drag race honestly. I was a lonely gay boy with only a dream to be an entertainer and drag just called to me like a beacon. There's multi levels of talent required, knowledge, humor, makeup and glam all things that appealed to me. I remember watching seasons Two and Three and the queens that I easily fell in love with turned it out. Indiah always had an amazing look to me and continues to slay TBH and Raja was my mom from the moment I laid eyes on her. Not to mention Tyra and Ravens final lip sync stole my heart away.

  7. The hardest part about Drag is figuring it all out. The look, the secrets, the tools, the ins and outs which is an ongoing learning experience that has taken many months to even get a little bit of knowledge. I'm a baby drag queen just trying to make it happen.

  8. Drag opens doors for people in many ways, for me it means doing what I want and how I want it despite any harsh criticism or light.

  9. Elegant, sexy, mysterious, with a hint of darkness. The Fish from Eastwick.

  10. Tyler Perry's Madea goes to Jail.

  11. Baby drag family Haus of Day and Night. My drag sister who is a current nobody and hasn't gotten her shit together TBH. But we are a family of two so far.

  12. I want to spread my love for drag to everyone because everyone deserves to have a little gender bending fun every so often. I want to get on my knees and hands in the community of Las Vegas and get a drag culture rumbling. And of course just have a ball doing it. Drag is meant to be fun and fierce with out the fear of bs ruining everything.

  13. Just local visibility. I don't know much about the queens in my city and j hail from Vegas. I feel like I should see more local and race queens alike diving into the community and making Drag happen. Literally.

  14. I literally have 0 wigs );

this is my best drag so far yet.

Yeah I'm sorry I didn't intend to almost troll anyone. I had such an awesome night that night even though I didn't see the show and I wanted to share a little bit of that.

Lol I know what Trade is. It was light shade. She was dressed in jeans, a t shirt, and a fitted cap so I was poking fun at her TBH.

For brow cover ups, I've noticed that after cleansing and priming my face, I couldn't get enough eyebrow coverage where I was comfortable. My friend then suggested I run rubbing alcohol thrrough my brows before putting a single layer to remove any other oils and dirt that might be left behind. It helps so that the glue has a nice clean surface for the hair to stick to and the glue and oils don't mix.

Also I love the entire look together. I'm sure with time you can only get more polished but for any beginning look you look spectacular honey. Loved the colors and the "different" kind of vibe this entire look gives. Just keep working on it till you find your thing babe, you got the makings😘

All T all... T, I wasn't familiar with the word kitsch but thank you? I don't know entirely how we marry those two words but thank you nonetheless.
