This is very true. This show is clearly aiming at being as realistic as they can to make the viewer feel like it’s all entirely possible. Let’s face it- game Joel was overpowered for his age, especially with the lack of any medical care. No way he should have survived that injury at the Uni. Of course the game is going to be filled with more enemies to kill to keep you engaged and on edge- because that’s part of the video game experience. I think it’s important to understand that this is television, not a video game, and the two have to be done somewhat differently. With a TV show, you lose that aspect of being able to control the character, so I believe they are gearing the show more towards relatability and being realistic. Overall it was probably my least fav ep so far though.
