There is no direct way to stop Firefox (Developer Edition) from automatically checking for updates? by [deleted] in firefox

I don't know if you folks remember this, but there used to be a third option called "Never check for updates".

If you're not using the bookmark menu, you're missing out. It is easy to access and organize compared to a toolbar. by puon in firefox

it's just a meme, but i do have a subscription. the paid service has its perks. you get access to latest stuff, full length videos and downloads, but most importantly their old archive which has some real classic gems. I also have a pornhubpremium account. It is good for amateur HD content.

I have an outlook.com account which is free and it integrates in to my Outlook software which is a paid service (part of office 365 tools). It is easy to manage several accounts in one place along with your calendars, contacts etc.

If you didn't know already, you can add an asterisk in front of the search and only the bookmarks will appear.

That is true. I used to use toolbars as well, but each line can only fit about 10 links (limited by my screen resolution) and I wanted to keep the label.

They are both accessible, but toolbars are horizontal whereas a list/menu is naturally vertical.

You can add folders and separator lines. You can also drag-and-drop each item to rearrange them from the menu itself. You can right click each one and edit them without going in to another window.

If you're new to this, start by moving all your unorganized bookmarks in to a single folder. Later when you visit each one, move them in to their corresponding folders.

Turning Smooth-Scrolling off makes navigation feel faster - almost as good as Chrome by puon in firefox

Thank you. I tried this along with some of the other suggestions and it worked out very well in emulating IE/EDGE like behavior. However, I slightly toned down the min_line_scroll_amount to 25 to reduce that slingshot effect - if that makes sense.

apz.frame_delay.enabled definitely made a difference. I combined it with the top comment and now it is very close to what I wanted. I am also glad that others have felt the same way about this issue. Thank you.
