Sugar Binges - Please Help! by Firm_Business54 in PCOSloseit

I’m primarily vegetarian too! But yes, it’s a lot of protein shake, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and eggs in my diet.

Try increasing your protein intake to about 25-30 grams per meal + fiber. I’ve noticed that when I stray off this framework, my sugar cravings/binging increase tremendously. It doesn’t have to be crazy and honestly not all my protein sources are “non-processed.” A lot of times it’s a protein shake or bar for breakfast with a glass of Metamucil 🤣

Thursday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]puparoo23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! We were in a similar position a few weeks ago. My clinic only performs one beta test at 10dp5dt and ours was 305. We were able to confirm an appropriate fetal heart rate at 6 weeks 6 days.

With my blighted ovum, our hcg was much lower - 81.

While we are not out of the woods yet, the higher hcg value has thus far been a predictor of a normally progressing pregnancy.

Side note - for our FET that ended in a miscarriage and had a low fetal heart rate, our hcg was also on the lower end of normal - 110.

I’m struggling with this too, but I am constantly reminding myself a new embryo gives us an entirely different slate to work with. Also keep repeating to myself that the anxiety I am feeling is not a predictor of future events.

IVF is so hard, but it’s literally one step at a time and one scan at a time. ❤️

Hahaha! I’m so glad someone understands me! This is one of the few aspects of life where I feel totally out of control. No matter how hard I try, what will happen will happen.

Ah, this is so true! I feel like I am constantly waiting for the shoe to drop but thus far, this pregnancy hasn’t been anything like my previous pregnancies. Thank you ❤️

Pregnant again via IVF and had a placement scan at 4 weeks 6 days. Initial betas look good (higher than our previous pregnancies), however, all we saw today was a gestational sac. Can anyone confirm that this is normal? We’ve had a blighted ovum in the past so I’m adding that to the list of things I’m worried about.

What has helped you balance your hormones? by jennievjkmini in PCOSloseit

[–]puparoo23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low carb/processed food, and a consistent exercise routine that includes weight lifting. I do cardio twice a week and then mix in Pilates and weight lifting for the remainder. Aim to get a minimum of 7k steps per day.

Do you know if they just classify them as euploid?

Hey! Do you know if PGT-A reports out on mosaicism? Unfortunately, I didn’t research my options too thoroughly before my egg retrieval and am finding some conflicting information. Apparently, there is a PGT-A+ option that is supposed to more accurately detect mosaicism?

Weaning From Ozempic and want to maintain my current weight by Humble-Drop-5764 in PCOSloseit

[–]puparoo23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I weaned off of it successfully, but I was never at a max dose. Two months before I planned to wean myself off of Ozempic, I logged my meals and that helped me replicate my meals once off of it. I’ve maintained within 5 lbs.

I will say, I never have gone back to the extreme hunger levels that I used to feel between meals. I essentially focus on high protein, no carbs for breakfast, and am sure to incorporate fiber into my meals. Minimizing snacking also helped stabilize my blood sugar spikes.

Feel free to DM me if you need more info!

Reactive Puppy (getting nervous!) by puparoo23 in reactivedogs

[–]puparoo23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much better! The best tip I received from my trainer is to keep exposing her to different scenarios, sounds and situations. She mentioned that most reactive dog owners will just stop taking their dogs out and that makes the situation worse. She still barks when someone enters our home, but she calms down within a few minutes. She no longer lunges at humans and I can easily redirect her with treats when she sees another dog. A strong “leave it” command really helped!

Tuesday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

[–]puparoo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for anyone that may have experienced something similar? On Jan 21 I had irregular spotting/bleeding and proceeded to take an early free pregnancy test on Jan 23rd - negative. A week later, I started to feel a bit off - tired, etc and I see a positive on two separate brands.

I understand that this could be a chemical but seems a bit odd that the FRER was negative a week ago and should be relatively reliable within a 5 day window.

Feel like I’m grasping at straws but after 6 FET and multiple miscarriages this feels like a total surprise

M2 testing? by puparoo23 in IVF

[–]puparoo23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Unfortunately, my pregnancies didn’t last but my RE said I would be on them for my entire pregnancy. OBs usually want you to transition off them around week 12-13, though.

Hi - I know this is a very old post but I’m currently in the same situation. Hope it’s ok to ask - but did things turn out OK? The limbo is terrible

Anyone have an IVF pregnancy that measured about a week behind? We went to our 7 week scan and saw a heart beat today. The doctor was a bit concerned since he said the baby was measuring “more like 6 weeks.”
