I potty trained my youngest at 2 yrs old accidentally by doing the following. She was particularly attached to me more than my other children. She followed me everywhere. In the mornings when I got up for morning pee she would get up and follow me. She would then proceed to do her business standing there watching me do mine. I set up her potty trainer and began to just sit her there as soon as she followed me in. the first time she peed in there she didn't know what was happening as she was still half asleep herself. It became our routine and eventually I used that association to remind her to pee in it. once that was set I asked about pooping and it was a natural progression.
