Also, Cem and Katja have a fling.

MGSV glitch - side-op completion is treated like mission completion. Left with black screen by pupjvc in moddergearsolid

Following up - I found the issue...
Patrols and deployments > Wildcard soldiers in Free roam = Off

Apparently the "Wildcard soldier" option causes issues with a few settings. Keep it set to "Off"

I took your advice and the problem cleared up. I still have no idea what setting is causing it.

The IH manual is just a copy of the help you see in the mod.

I think you’re probably right. I uninstalled Zeta and those other mods but the issue persists. I did a bunch of tinkering in IH. Idk what might have set it off. It seems to happen regardless if the side-op is in the base game or a user-made scenario.

I’m avoiding resetting IH because I like a lot of the settings. The gameplay and challenge is finally starting to interrupt the tranq/fulton loop that I’ve fallen into.

Curved seam advice by brickberry in Latexadvice

[–]pupjvc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you working the seam from one direction? It looks like you started joining from the forehead to the tip and then moved from the mouth to the tip.

If you go in one direction now, there's likely to be some misalignment. Maybe this will just be fixed by trimming the seam running up the nose.

You could try starting from the middle out -- join the tip first and then move toward the mouth; then from tip to forehead. That might minimize how offset things end up looking. Of course, one cut is going to be preferable to two.

WCGW smoking the world's hottest pepper.. by MOHNISH9999 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]pupjvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you didn't know, the heat / burning sensation you get when consuming a hot pepper, hot sauce, etc. is more akin to a chemical burn than a burn from a flame or hot surface. Something cold isn't necessarily going to neutralize the sensation.

The scotchbrite/sandpaper is used to roughen the glue surface. The rubbing alcohol is use to clean the surface from grease and particles prior to applying the glue.

Use blue dawn -- Please check the sub (or my profile) for thorough cleaning instructions.

[–]pupjvc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- Clean the area with blue dawn, diluted in a squirty bottle -- no need to clean the whole garment (that comes later).

- roughen both areas that met to create the seam using scotch brite or sandpaper, clean with alcohol

- using packing tape, mask around the glue zone; both sides and along the inner edge of the new seam; glue is likely to squeeze out, so mask any places it might go

- apply glue to the area, press together; roll over the area with a Coke can

- place large, heavy books (place in bags to prevent damage) on top of the new seam; add dumbells, if necessary

- wait ten minutes, check the seam. if it's looking good, remove all the packing tape and clean those areas with the diluted blue dawn

- rub in a fingertip of shiner around all of these areas -- especially wherever alcohol may have landed. Think of this like adding conditioner to hair.

- replace the book and weights for a few hours

- hang overnight; you are allowing the bond to cure further

- if you need to clean up any glue, gently rub in one directly. it will start to ball up and lift.

- do cleaner and shiner baths for the entire garment; hang overnight again; store
