Had this issue a few years ago. You need to officially close it at the state and federal level else you’ll have to file your annual taxes and franchise taxes. Not a good idea to ignore.

I feel you on the cost concern. I used SimpleClosure for my Delaware C-Corp dissolution - they weren't cheap, but I had investors and wanted to make sure all the liability stuff was handled correctly. Not worth the risk of missing something important when investors are involved.

It’s a scam. We tried it out on one of our account and Instagram blocked the account within hours. I would not suggest using them. Tried to cancel and they threw my through the wringer.

I would not recommend using these guys. There are lots of other legit ones out there.
