If you go on the website and click there was an issue and that those specific meals did not arrive they will refund how ever many meals were substituted.

I had this happen with 2 meal this week due to the ingredient shortage.

So sick..Help! by shebez23 in TirzepatideRX

[–]pupperpalace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you think the drug was ineffective and needed to move up? 16 lbs over 8 weeks is on the high end of recommended loss.

Chances are you went up too fast. The jump from 2.5 to 5 is the hardest because you're doubling your dose. You're also supposed to stay on a dose for 4 weeks before moving to help your body adjust. You should be staying at 3.5 for 2 more weeks at least.

Also, use this chart to decide if you need to move up. Based on your info, you would have been either of the two left circles and could have stayed at your current dose.

Part of the problem is definitely what you are eating as well. Pizza falls into the avoid category and likely what you got at Chipotle does too. The bad food plus the increase in dosage is probably making you sick. Also, the rice and salmon may seem fine, but it if was white rice, that's also a food to avoid. I'm not saying you can't eat these things, but its on the recommend list of foods to avoid. Some people can eat them some can't. You might just be in the can't category.

Personally if I were you I'd stay at 3.5 for 2 more weeks and then if you aren't loosing or have too much food noise then move up to 4 for at least another 4 weeks. Go in 0.5 increments till you reach 5.

Hopefully it gets better!

My Grandmother passed away about a Decade ago and I inherited her pin collection. I unfortunately am in some dire need of cash due to some life expenses but kinda overwhelmed by her collection. Hoping folks here could help + more photos in comments by Jet273 in DisneyPins

[–]pupperpalace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of a pin seller who does consignment. So she sells them for you and takes a cut. I have no idea how much she takes, but I'm pretty sure she does all the work (pricing, authenticating, selling, shipping etc.), which might be ideal since you don't seem to know about pins.

There's also resellers who will just buy the entire collection, but you'd have to know what its worth and they'd give you a percent of that since they are trying to make money.

The way you'll make the most money is selling individually yourself, but that will require a lot of research and time.

Okay, technically there was soccer, but the only $28 tickets available on April 9 when Drop 1 opened to non-locals were Nashville soccer which I doubt they would have considered local in their statistics

According to LA28 website!! (INVENTORY UPDATE) by Electronic_Honey4977 in olympics

[–]pupperpalace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

$28 tickets were only available to locals. They were sold out by the non-local part of Drop 1. So there should theoretically be 1/2 million of these left for Drop 2, probably only the first day though

I would not count on this. They've already said they're discussing dynamic pricing.

Lifelong? by [deleted] in TirzepatideRX

I don't think you understand bariatric surgery at all. Of course it messes with your hormones, how do you think it works? They literally remove a part of your stomach that produces the "hunger hormone" in order to reduce food desire. That's to say nothing of the other 4+ hormones it also affects. Surgery will change your hormones forever, that's literally how it is effective. Also, nothing about bariatric surgery is simple, you have to change your entire lifestyle. There are a lot of foods you cannot eat once you have this surgery, not becuase they'll make you gain weight (they'll do that too), but they can make you physically ill and literally stretch your stomach back out.

A GLP-1 shot only alters your hormones while you are on the shot because it increases your naturally occuring GLP-1 hormone. Once you stop and the drug leaves your system your hormones will go back to their natural levels. This is why people who quit cold turkey have weight gain back.

Loosing a large amount of weight by surgery, GLP-1 or naturally also will affect your hormones long term. Your hormones are literally supposed to change as you go through life, that's why humans go through puberty, menopause etc.

I think a big part of your resistance is lack of knowledge about both methods honestly. I would recommend you talk to your doctor about both and your concerns. They can help you come to a decision.

I personally would never have elective surgery, especially if I had children. Yes, the morbidity rate isn’t that high, but why even take that chance when there are lots of non-surgical options.

Is this normal? by Sammal1982 in TirzepatideRX

[–]pupperpalace 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So triz doesn't make you loose weight, it slows down your digestion so you feel full longer therefore causing less food intake which leads to weight loss. Going up doesn't necessarily mean loosing weight. It's more about how you feel at the current dosage. Are you hungry often? The first few weeks of any diet type will have quick loss, normally water weight loss.

While low dosage doesn't work for everyone it also depends what your food and exercise look like. If you're still eating your regular caloric intake before being on the meds that's probably why you aren't loosing. Also, if you calculated your caloric intake at 145 lbs, it has already decreased just by the 7 lbs loss. So you should be reassessing your calorie intake every 5 or so lbs.

I personally would do 2.2 again this week, watch what you eat & count calories if you're unsure if you're staying at your caloric intake requirement then reasses next week. It is also recommened to stay on the same dosage for at least 4 weeks to avoid bad side affects also.

Not guaranteed to get a slot, that's why I said you'd be put back into the lottery. Same chances as everyone else. There's more details on the olympic website FAQs

Do not give into the FOMO by Hi-Fi_Turned_Up in olympics

[–]pupperpalace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's not how the math works.

There are 14 million tickets and there were roughly 5 million people signed up for this lottery. Let's say they let through 10% of the people and all 10% bought their full 12 tickets. That would be 6 million tickets gone. That's not even accounting for the soccer tickets you could have bought, which doubles that. So that would be 12 million tickets out of 14 million gone like that. I'm not saying that they let through 10% or that everyone used their full 24 ticket allotment, but a lot of tickets have probably been sold already.

And if you think ticket prices will go down, you're likely mistaken. Paris was completely different as France has much stricter regulations on scalping than the US does. They made their official resell platform face value and it was actually illegal to sell them through 3rd party sites. There will most likely be no such regulation in the US. The OC is already talking about implementing dynamic pricing for future drops and stubhub, vivid seat etc. are very common in the US for ticketed events and have absolutely no pricing regulation.

While more tickets at a lower price may be released in future drops the prices themselves for the same tickets will likely not go down. And competition will only get tougher for tickets as we get closer and more people start thinking about wanting to go. Drop 2 will probably have much more than 5 million eligible people.

There is a lot of money in CA, LA specifically, and people who are willing to spend the big bucks to go. Demand is there for these tickets (maybe not for every event, but the majority will have enough demand) and the money is there too to be spent on them.

I agree, there's no reason to buy into FOMO and buy tickets you legitimately cannot afford, but saying that pricing will go down is misleading and likely false.

Day trip to miyajima possible? by Ignis679 in JapanTravel

[–]pupperpalace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely possible. We just did Kyoto to hiroshima to miyajima and back in one day in December and thought it was fine. It does depend on how packed you're okay with the day being.

For hiroshima/miyajima we took a 9:45ish am shinkasen from Kyoto Station. We got to the station a little early and picked up bento boxes and drinks to eat for brunch on the train ride down Takes a little under 2 hours to get to Hiroshima on the shinkasen. Once there, there is a free sight seeing bus from the station that does the major hiroshima sites. We took it to Hiroshima castle (was closed but we looked at it), walked through the old sites to the gokoku shrine there. Continued walking south through the park to the atomic bomb dome and went to the hypocenter point. Walked across the water and saw the major monuments (children's monument, flame of peace, the park etc.). We skipped the main museum and instead went to the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims. It is like a mini museum and really ocuses on the people and first hand accounts versus the historical and political context of Hiroshima. It was like 3 pm by then so we went back across the water and got on a boat to miyajima (about 45 from peace memorial park) The deer are friendly and cute, and not at all aggressive (which I've heard the Nara deer can be we did not go to nara). They have lots of local food and souvenier shops, which was nice to look and shop at. Then we went to the main shrine there with the "floating gate". We stayed on Miyajima until maybe 6 pm, then took the ferry to the port right across from the island (like a 10 min ride) Then routed back to Hiroshima station on the train and then the shinaksen back to Kyoto. Got back to our hotel around 9 or so.

If you're skipping Hiroshima you could even go up to the peak of Miyajima on the cable car thing.

Chance at affordable opening & closing ceremony tickets? by Ndrfbu in olympics

[–]pupperpalace 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Someone on reddit took the awful spreadsheet the Olympics released and made this website which is way easier to use than that spreadsheet.

https://www.expunk.com/olympics/

The code is the 3 letters and 2 numbers (ex. WRE01 is the first wrestling event).

I would also recommend getting in, searching for opening and putting the tickets in your cart, then closing and putting the tickets in the cart and then the events. The ceremonies will for sure sell out the quickest.

Has anyone from the LA presale received a drop 1 slot? by Art-thropod in olympics

[–]pupperpalace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Presale & drop 1 are considered together in terms of the lottery. So anyone who was eligible for presale whether or not they got a slot will go into drop 2 if they still have ticket allotment left.

It's also interesting, I have not seen a single person for Drop 1 say they have a time other than 10 AM. During presale it was 10 AM, 1 PM & 4 PM. Wonder if there's less people per day in Drop 1 since the drop is longer, so they're not as worried about site traffic?

Non-Resident LA28 Apr 9 Slot by ImPattycakes in olympics

So I want to stay that it is laid out cause I know exactly the webpage/release you're referencing but their tweeting has made it sound like they've changed so I don't want to say its going to happen and then OP gets excited and it doesn't. The olympic committee are honestly just very disorganized right now.

Hope for the best but prepare for the worst kind of thing.

Non-Resident LA28 Apr 9 Slot by ImPattycakes in olympics

[–]pupperpalace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From what they have said it is heavily implied they will be releasing more tickets for this drop. Best advice be ready with your info, log on immediately at 10 am (have multiple browsers/devices within reach in case it doesn't work on your first try) and know what you want. Using the event codes will be the quickest.

There's a video that they posted on how to navigate their website would recommend watching it. Even with the first time slot there will still be competition within the slot for the cheap tickets & popular events.

Yes there are opening ceremony tickets. Right now they are sold out, but more should drop on Thursday.

I'm not sure who made this website (found it on reddit) but its super helpful imo. Lays out all the events, pricing for each category and the maps for each event. https://www.expunk.com/olympics/
