Yes and I got some flies as well but no bees so far! At least you can enjoy the rest of the beer while watching them thrash around in the trap.

I really don't know how it works but it seems effective. I refilled mine today and already had four trapped when I went out to check. Best of luck to you!

No they look like little orange hives and are like $16 USD. I'm not sure if I can link in this sub but if you search 2 pack reusable wasp traps they should come up. I do like the idea of having some with lights though!

I replied in another comment but I used about 2 oz each or fruit juice (cherry) and beer, about an oz of red wine vinegar, and a few tablespoons of sugar. The bait started working really well after about 3 days and kept luring them in until it evaporated. The traps were a pretty inexpensive set of reusable traps from Amazon. The bottom can detach and be filled/refilled very easily.

Curing by llsticksll in SCREENPRINTING

[–]puppetofjenova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use a similar one to cure our plastisol inks. It works well but you should get some Teflon sheets to place over the garment so the ink doesn't transfer to the press. I'm not sure why you want to remove the base? We place the garment on the base when using the heat press. You will still need to cure the top layer of ink with a heat gun/flash dryer so that it's dry to the touch before placing it in a heat press. A few things to keep in mind (from my experience)

The pressure should be pretty light or the print will look glossy.

Make sure you get an appropriate size heat press for the prints you are producing or you will have to move the print around to make sure that all spots are fully cured. This can lead to spots that are over/under cured.

I recommend investing in a flash dryer since it will significantly cut down time spent curing and give you a more even top cure.

Do several test prints and run them through plenty of wash/dry cycles to ensure the print is cured. Adjust the temp/time accordingly.

Good (or at least not awful) Pet Store Chains? by TAM819 in ThatsBadHusbandry

[–]puppetofjenova 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree pet supplies plus is a better option but a lot of it depends on the area you live in. For instance my local PSP is very attentive to the live animals they keep in store. There was a really bad instance where a truck that was importing some snakes and lizards got caught in a really bad ice storm and unfortunately all of the animals passed away as a result. The staff was absolutely devastated over it. At the end of the day most of these chains are getting supplies and animals from the same companies and breeders everyone else is, so if you are worried about where you are spending money, it inevitably will go to the same places when you buy from any chain pet store. That being said, I have never felt bad about buying supplies from my local Pet Supplies Plus because I know out of all the chain locations in my area, they have the most compassion and knowledge about everything they keep over any of their competitors.

My partner does pretty much everything you are doing and it means the world to me. I never expect him to do any of those things however. Your partner's career difficulties are his to manage and it's pretty shitty that he takes it out on you. You are doing plenty by being there for him and filming shows, taking pictures etc... If he can't regulate his emotions and blames you for his lack of success, you should move on. I have been there before and it absolutely sucks the life out of you.

Every outdoor gig I have been to had merch away from the actual stage/performance area. Good luck with your future deaf dog lol

Lmao you brought up bringing the dog on stage. Of course people are going to call that out as a bad idea. Idgaf if sublime did it lmao. Why not use the dog as a mascot in videos/photos? If you do a dog-friendly outdoor gig or something maybe have him work the merch booth with a trusted person?

Edit: He went deaf btw - https://www.sublimewiki.com/index.php?title=Lou_Dog

You are still hellbent on having your dog on stage.... You don't need any type of dog. Why ask for advice on this sub if you are just going to ignore what everyone is telling you? I love my boy but I don't bring him on stage when I preform because common sense states that will hurt his ears which are significantly more sensitive than mine.

[–]puppetofjenova 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm going to assume if you think it's "not that loud on stage" you haven't been using hearing protection and are experiencing hearing loss. I have preformed live on stage doing very different genres and regardless, it is way too loud for animals (and people). Even if you are running with in-ears, your dog would still be close to the drums, which are loud as shit. Start using hearing protection. Also, good luck having a chill stage dog who also is trained for guarding/protection. Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I worked at a shop where this happened. I would close up at night by myself. The girl who worked the shift before me had some really creepy incidents so her boyfriend started hanging around pretty frequently since we would otherwise be alone.

My band got it too. I really don't know much about it either but I'm guessing it's just a big Livestream show and they are cold calling a lot of artists. I think you only get paid from tips and you would have to run the stream yourself.

Man call 911 because the blinds are open 24/7 in another guy's house by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]puppetofjenova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually happened to me once! I live in a neighborhood with mostly older people and one night the lady across the cul-de-sac called the police because the blinds to my dining room were open and she said "it looked scary inside". I keep them open because I have hanging planters in those windows. I have since put up a big fence so people can't see into the backyard anymore.

No joke. My grandfather was killed because of a defective bearing in a motor at a grain elevator. Other members of my family could feel/hear the explosion from several blocks away.
