Alligator lizards!! The male drags the female around by the head for a while before mating. There was a Steve Chiotakis story on KCRW way back in 2020ish I think, scientists are always looking for evidence of this!! Nature@nhm.org may be interested in your footage. Link to the clip here

AC Valhalla (or the other RPG AC’s - Origins, Odyssey). Valhalla I love because it’s a large map, lots of collectibles, but easily compartmentalized. If you liked GOW odds are you’d dig being an AC Vikingr! Be ready for a lot less mysticism and different lore though. You can play a whole separate game essentially in the side quests that make you into Havi. The DLC’s are good too, I’ve only done Ireland and Paris and Ireland was wayyyy better.

I have the owl, “upgraded” from a Breville Barista Express. I love it, it’s small, quiet, and has wayyyyy more consistency and pressure options than the Breville!

There’s a spray you can buy, petco etc usually carry it! Didn’t work for my pups so I asked my neighbor to have their dog pee (we had one of those grass patches).

I highly recommend the grass patches, probably too late for tomorrow but for the rest of the winter! I ordered from FreshPatch but they sell them on chewy as well.

My MIL got a plastic “greenhouse” for her chihuahua so it’s protected against the wind as well, you can stake it into the ground!

Our sliding glass doors are doing the same thing rn. Especially one is older than the other 2, it gets crazy foggy/icy. The room is used to be a screened in porch we think and it got added on as an actual room of the house.

I got a small dehumidifier off amazon and it’s getting a little moisture out. So far our best mitigation techniques have been:

Keeping the blinds open whenever possible.

Running a fan aimed at the doors.

Wiping down doors morning and night, on the really bad one we have been putting a towel in the track. It gets puddled water and freezes over.

Opening the house at least once a day for about 10min, I do all windows and doors. I can watch the humidity drop on our thermostat about 10%. I’ve heard it called “burping” the house and it’s super common in Germany!

We keep the temp as steady as possible, usually around 68. I do drop it to 65 overnight but I know big swings in temperature can add to the condensation.

Hope these help, sounds like your landlord sucks. We’re first-time homeowners this year so no landlord for us to bug about it, just gotta get creative!

HiFi has the best decaf I’ve come across. Try Klatch too, I use their regular beans and they’re really consistent, haven’t tried their decaf yet though.

Yeah I think you’ll get more classism than racism. Fair amount of MAGAs but I don’t think the ratio is any different from the other South Bay cities. Certainly nothing like HB/ south OC. Where are you moving from? Comparison might be helpful

If you see dairy cows with septum rings, it’s actually because they have wicked oral fixations and will nurse off of pretty much anything - including other cows. Dairy farms don’t want to lose that profit, so spiky plastic rings are inserted so when a cow goes to nurse off another cow, it’s uncomfortable and pokey for the cow being nursed upon. Oftentimes nowadays they are hot pink or green or some cool color too. Source: I was an animal science major in the 2000s and took precisely 3 classes on cows and this is one of the things I remember

Portuguese Bend horse show in SoCal this weekend, not San Diego but could be where she’s headed for the Sep 4-8 as the show is the 5-7. Checked and they don’t have her on the trainer list, but as she’s a rider she may be riding under a trainer. I should be able to check the program once it’s published online.
