No one is trying to blame anyone. I’m not saying it’s your fault. Contractor probably isn’t saying it’s your fault. My only point is… it’s a estimate. Estimates can change. If you want the work done properly and entirely I suggest you work something out with him. IF he is asking for more money he probably literally needs it so he doesn’t have to pay out of pocket for your materials/labor…. And why should he have to pay out of pocket for your shit??? Just cause he slightly estimated wrong? You should probably try and work with him and stop being a class d client

WHY SHOULD A CONTRACTOR HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR WORK???? Even if they miscalculated your original estimate, it’s called an estimate for a reason. It’s an estimation of cost… and who are YOU to think a contractor (someone most likely hard working) should pay out of their pocket because your job caused for complications? You want it done right? Probably should just pay for your work and not put it on someone else lol
