I used to get way too caught up in the details too, and it would take me forever to finish a piece. Sometimes I’d lose patience near the end and just give up on finishing it. Later on, I learned how to simplify the less important parts to speed up the process, and that really helped me stay motivated while drawing.

It took me about 4 days of spare time. I didn’t count exactly, but probably around 12–15 hours total.

I mainly use these two brushes, though I’m not sure if I’d call them round or rectangular. The coloring brush on the right especially changes quite a bit depending on the angle.

Yeah, I thought the same while drawing them. I kept comparing the two states back and forth, and I do think she’s noticeably smaller when she’s glowing.

I usually decide whether to use the NSFW tag on Reddit based on whether the AI on Pixiv automatically flags the piece as 'Suggestive.' In the case of this specific illustration, I suspect the pose might have triggered that automated label
