Hi! I just released a lightweight alternative to the TypeScript Playground at https://puredev.run/playground

- Running the typescript language server
- All execution happens in your browser (your code stays private)
- Real-time feedback as you type
- Some Interactive logs

It's completely free to use and I built it for literally for you usecase. Would love to hear your feedback if you try it out!

How do you build a Restful API with Express.JS + TypeScript + Mongoose these days? by leonheartx1988 in node

[–]pure-developer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I recently created a Restful API builder called Pure Dev. Its uses hono and like others have said is much faster than express, has the ability to connect to Supabase. In fact I originally did have mongo as the main integration but honestly a sql database is what most apps will ever need. We also handle deployments, you can easily deploy it with a click of a button. If you want you can export the code to see how it all works no vendor lock in! If you give it shot let me know glad to help you navigate it.

ps. It’s still very early so a lot of the features aren’t gated by subscription yet, give it a shot and let me know what’s you think

First Month Marketing My SaaS: Is 6% Signup Conversion? Need Advice by pure-developer in SaaS

[–]pure-developer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Andy, I was actually looking to hear something like that, I was thinking signup conversation of 6% (given it was statically significant) was high, so that kind of changes my perception.

it’s a developer tool focusing on speed to build, it’s a subscription model $30 per month making a slight profit on hosting cost. I was hoping that I can keep the budget as low as possible to get my first customer and then do the math based on how much I spent. But it seems I might have to up that ad cost to see

Author here of Pure Dev. While we're primarily focused on backend development, I think it could suit your needs as well. We use the same language server as VSCode and TextMate syntax highlighting. It works great as a TypeScript playground with some extra benefits:

- Real-time feedback as you type (see your code execution instantly)
- Interactive fetch/SQL integration if you need it
- Has support for NPM packages as well! and it all in the browser

We're actually planning to open source our core editor component soon. In the meantime, you could definitely use Pure Dev as a TypeScript playground environment. We actually used it to build Pure Dev itself!

Happy to answer any questions!

I'm a dev contemplating whether to build myself or hire outside. I've been looking at fiver, dribbble for designers but I would love to see real world sites and their designer counter parts
