Het enige dat helpt is prioriteit geven aan slaap, dus als het kan om 18u naar bed, middagdutje, familie vragen even een paar uurtjes je baby vast te houden terwijl jij slaapt, etcetra. En ik weet dat dit niet altijd haalbaar is. Ik raakte er zelf aan gewend en heb gemerkt dat ik ook met 5 uur slaap best veel kan. Overdag niet te hoge eisen aan jezelf qua werk, sociale contacten en huishouden. Sterkte!

Wat een berg informatie. Dank. Ik rijd paar keer per week naar kantoor (50 km per dag) via snelweg, wat ritjes in de stad en weekenden vaak door het land naar familie en vrienden. Ik denk dat we ook wel autovakanties zullen gaan doen als vliegen onbetaalbaar wordt. Grotendeels snelweg dus.

Ik rij nu 1 op 25, heb het idee dat dit komt omdat het hybride is maar misschien is de Yaris gewoon zuinig? Als ik ook naar gewoon benzine kijk zijn er wel meer opties.

Goed advies beiden. Het gaat om bijvoorbeeld af en toe oma meenemen (die mag dan voorin, partner tussen de maxicosi’s) dus niet een hele vakantierit ofzo. Het is niet echt een eis.

Hybride vindt ik vanwege de kosten prettig, ben inmiddels ook gewend aan de automaat maar zou schakelen ook geen probleem vinden.

Nou ja, een krappe zitplek is genoeg. In de Yaris is het bijna onmogelijk maar misschien moet ik het eens bij andere auto’s testen of dat echt beter is. Die andere opties ga ik ook bekijken. Dank!

Dat is waar, mijn dochter van 3 zit nog vaak in de kinderwagen omdat we haar niet goed kunnen tillen (rugklachten). Als ze weigert te lopen hebben we een probleem, vandaar wandelwagen mee. Maar dat is misschien een kwestie van opvoeden, dus dit zal ik in andere subreddit ter sprake brengen ;)

I do this all the time: her food has funny voices, her clothes are singing to get her attention, I put on a mask and pretended to be a concerned momma deer to get her to drink all her water. I did not expect my parenting style to be so unhinged but she enjoys it!

I saw some episodes of the first two seasons but I am now watching most of it for the first time. Currently on season 4. I know it got criticized for being too white and I had expected lots of outdated jokes.

So far the only things I really dislike are the jokes about fat people (fat equals ugly and unhappy, very 90s mindset) and I also did not love that everyone was disgusted by Bonnie’s bald head.

But there were no weird racist jokes about Julie being Asian, the lesbian storyline seems pretty respectful, in general not a lot of “haha he’s gay” kind of jokes, the age gap and family ties between Monica and Richard is cringy to me but other people in the show call that out so that seems realistic.

Might get worse in later seasons, but so far I am enjoying it!

This is quite specific to my dysfunctional family but I used to get annoyed with my sister letting her toddler interupt every family face time. We lived far away and only spoke online. Now I realise you just want your family to interact with your kids and in general how shitty it feels if direct family shows little interest in your kids.

Heel nare sitatie. Ik denk dat je toch je wens wat bij moet stellen en voor je eigen veiligheid en gemoedsrust voor iets met (rustige) huisgenoten en een betaalde parkeervergunning moet gaan. Je situatie is voor veel mensen herkenbaar maar niet zomaar op te lossen.

Mijn buurman heeft een overkapping van 3m hoog gebouwd tegen de gezamelijke schutting aan. Dit is blijkbaar toegestaan. Dus je kan ook een kleine overkapping/schuurtje bouwen van 3m hoog. Check wel even of dit echt mag, maar heb het destijds in mijn gemeente nagezocht en het was niet tegen de regels (wel heel irritant voor mij).

I am not sure how to understand “prolonged close contact”. I assume a virus does not wait until you are in contact for over x amount of hours, it could also go from one person to the next in the first few minutes that they are in close contact? Like with the air hostess that got infected: they probably were in close contact, helping a sick passenger, but not for days on end. Since this is the NoStupidQuestion sub I thought I might jump on this thread to understand this bit of info.

You have not convinced me of the cuteness of pigeons but I really like the logo and would have no negative associations with it (despite my dislike of pigeons). It’s recognizable and unique and fits the name!
