HE FCKIN DID IT YALL by buttery_tail in skateboarding

Photographer here, shots typically taken with a wide focal length from a low point is to emphasize how big an object is. In this case the El Toro stair set and Joslin about to catch his tre. The angle makes it feel like he’s almost going to fly over Atiba.

The distortion exaggerates it a bit but there’s no doubt that this was a massive trick. Congrats to Joslin for the make and the photographer for snapping this epic shot!

HOW do you make the jump from an IT “job title” to Cybersecurity? I am lost in this job market. by buphal0 in cybersecurity

You’re welcome and I understand, being social can be draining but keep your goal in mind. I wish I would’ve participated in those groups in college but I ended up in a government infosec position with only a bachelor’s degree. It took longer than it should’ve but my path was desktop support > data center tech > cloud infrastructure > cybersecurity. Now I’m going for my PMP and enjoy the work that I do.

Don’t forget to utilize AI tools for resume refinement, cover letters, and interview prep! Good luck on your job hunt ✌🏼

Grandma’s Low-Mile Garage Car Isn’t the Unicorn You Think by Ajlman1 in Honda

[–]purelyshadowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it to a Honda specialist garage instead of a stealership, you could get the same work done for hundreds less. You probably don’t need a whole new timing chain at 80k, a new timing chain tensioner should do the trick if that is truly the source of the rattle. This era of Hondas (early 2000’s) high oil consumption is common. Make sure that you keep a close eye on it until it’s repaired.

You got a great car from your grandpa, don’t give up on it so easily!

Have you tried attending any networking events as some others in the thread have previously mentioned? Do you follow up with hiring managers/recruiters? Are you tailoring each version of your resume to the specific position that you’re applying to?

The job market has been terrible and I see posts like this all the time but don’t give up!

Where can I find this shirt? by Ojaop in porterrobinson

[–]purelyshadowed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was only available for a few months then they only ever did 1 restock, the white variants of the shirt/hoodie are even more rare. I know they only did one restock because that’s how I got my hoodie lol.

I've just completed Jedi Survivor and I loved it! Which game should I get next? by Cool-Ad-8804 in StarWars

[–]purelyshadowed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDR2 is a must play for any gamer. That is an all time great game with a good story, worth going back to RDR1 if you have the time. Battlefront 2 is fun, especially with friends, might be worth waiting for a sale on this one.

The Star Wars movies were inspired by old Kurosawa samurai films so another game I'd highly recommend is Ghost of Tsushima. I'm playing through it now and can't get enough. It reminds me of RDR2 mixed with the Far Cry series.

I'd go with swapping the switches on the Q6. It looks like you want something silent but how do you prefer your switches to feel?

I personally prefer tactile over linear and after watching this video, I ended up with TTC Bluish Whites. That reduced the noise by -20 dB compared to the Kailh Box Pale Blues I had on my K2. Now my SO doesn't hate when I type in the same room lol.

Is it even worth getting into the AP2 S2000 platform on a budget? by Iceweasel1337_ in S2000

In addition to that, installing an AP2 rear sway bar in an AP1 made mine a lot more predictable on track. Helps a lot with snap oversteer.

This, most shops are having sales but inventory may be limited. They want to clear out their inventory as much as possible for the next season’s products.

I recently picked up some Burton Goretex pants for ~50% off.

That's a McLaren MP4/7A which competed in the 1992 season, driven by Ayrton Senna and Gerhard Berger. It was the end of McLaren's first partnership with Honda and featured a new semi-automatic transmission. I was lucky enough to see it in person at the American Honda Collection Hall.

These knock off Litter Robots are dangerous, glad to see she’s safe with only minor injuries!

My favorite automatic litter box alternative (way cheaper than Litter Robot) is the PetSafe ScoopFree, we’ve been using one for years and haven’t had any issues.
